Nearly 500,000 views in 24 hours and trending at #32 in Canada and #24 in the US!

This kind of momentum has happened before with previous Ghost Town Living episodes, but it never stops being a total thrill to see a project take off like this.

That said—none of it happens without Brent Underwood or his vision, grit, and storytelling. I just had the pleasure of helping bring that vision to life on screen.

New Episode Premieres at 1:00PM!

This one’s special. I’ve been part of Ghost Town Living / Cerro Gordo since late 2021, and helping tell this chapter of Brent Underwood’s journey has been one of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on.

The photo? That’s the actual Premiere timeline—cut together from hundreds of hours of footage and five years’ worth of episodes, all chronicling Brent’s mission to rebuild the American Hotel.

Filming at Woodbank – HLCS Graduation 2025

Last week, we had the pleasure of filming up at Woodbank Primary in Nanaimo for the Hul'q'umi'num' Language & Culture Society graduation ceremony. It was a joyful, inspiring day—full of community spirit, culture, and celebration.

Congratulations to all the students, families, and participants! It was an honor to help capture such a meaningful milestone.

Behind the scenes with the ARRI Alexa

Got to spend some time behind the lens recently at Joseph McMurray's house, shooting a short where an anonymous man discovers a mysterious box of VHS tapes in his attic… and everything spirals from there.

Big thanks to Made You Look Media and Shiraz X Myl for the opportunity and the gear. Always a thrill mixing the ARRI Alexa with analog camcorders.

Throwback to a turning point.

The second video I ever worked on for Ghost Town Living was one of the most intense:
👉 A Grueling Hike Into “The Most Remote Ghost Town in America” — Beveridge, CA.

At the time, I wasn’t sure I even had the job. I was broke, working from my laptop, and trying to find my footing. The edit was a 30-minute monster with no real roadmap — raw, wild, and full of potential.

I worked tirelessly, learning as I went. Shiraz X Myl pushed me to refine the pacing, storytelling, and structure. His feedback helped shape not only the video, but how I approach editing to this day.

That video now has 4.6 million views and became the second-best performing on the entire channel.

It basically launched the next few years of my career.

🎥 What Awaits in the Basement?

A giggle. A basement. A decision that should never have been made.

This horror short was shot in one night at Joseph McMurray’s house. Luke Daley stars as the curious young man, and the giggling woman is played by Joe’s partner, Kali.

We kept the story simple — a single location, minimal dialogue — but focused everything on building suspense.

With zero promotion, it’s already at 300 views — and we want way more. If you're into indie horror or suspense shorts, check it out and let us know what you think.
