Who knew our listeners had such arms on them!

Yesterday we gathered 32 listeners to the Sandown location for the first annual Red Barn Market Bonspiel! (Barnspiel?)

It was a long and close game but Megan Gehrig won a thousand dollars in Red Barn Bucks just in time for Thanksgiving! Our second place prize of $500 in groceries went to Linda Thomson and as a thank-you everyone was given a $50 gift card - and yes they got to keep the cranberry sauce.

Do you have a neighbour (or maybe it’s you!) who goes all-out with cobwebs, cauldrons, skeletons, and creepy crawlies? Let us know and we’ll add them to the map!

The 4th Annual South Island Powwow is being held at Royal Athletic Park today.

Through song and dance, everyone is encouraged to come celebrate traditional Indigenous cultures and resiliency.

Admission is free, with free parking and a free shuttle service from 2100 Government Street (Rock Bay) and the Songhees Wellness Centre available to and from the park.
