‼️ This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT pieces of advice I give to anyone who’s visiting the Rocky Mountains for the first time:

🌨️ Prepare for inclement weather at any time, even if the current weather is bright and balmy!! ☀️

❄️ Banff just saw its first snowfall of the season yesterday on August 30! When you’re high in elevation like you are in the Rockies, the weather can change quickly, and snow is always in the cards, even at the height of summer.

So please please please: if you’re heading more than 10 minutes away from your car, make sure you have an extra layer packed that you can throw on if need be! 🧥

Have you been to this Pacific island before?

📍This is the island of Kauai, one of the Hawaiian islands!

It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been and has so much interesting wildlife to appreciate: Hawaiian monk seals, green sea turtles, spinner dolphins, and so many beautiful tropical fish. Not to mention all the chickens! 🐓

🌄 Is seeing the most beautiful mountain sunrise in the world on your bucket list?

[Hosted] 🛶 Welcome to Moraine Lake! This stunning lake in Banff National Park is estimated to get nearly 900,000 visitors per year!

Because of its popularity, the road up to Moraine Lake is closed off to individual vehicles to prevent overcrowding. In order to see the lake in person without needing to do a very strenuous hike visitors have to book a shuttle.

Since I wanted to see the sunrise, I booked my shuttle with Moraine Lake Bus Company. They have frequent departure times including sunrise slots, and offer flexible timing so that you can plan your day the way you want it.

🚡 If you book with them, you can also add on the Lake Louise summer gondola for $15 off!

The road to Moraine Lake is open this season until October 12, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to see it in person — videos truly don’t do this breathtaking view justice!

🌄 The way the mountain peaks turn a pinky-coral colour in the early morning light is a phenomenon known as alpenglow! Seeing it in person as the dawn twilight slowly faded to greet the new day was so special 🥹
