The Isle of Skye is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited, and I can’t overstate how GREEN and verdant it is there. As I edited these photos I tried to get them as true to life as it was being there!

Oxford is a city that absolutely needs to be on your England bucket list if you like history and gorgeous architecture. It is known as the “city of dreaming spires” and home to one of the most famous and prestigious universities in the world, Oxford University, which is actually made up of 43 different colleges.

A quick list of some other spots worth checking out:
📍 Ashmolean Museum
📍 Oxford Museum of Natural History
📍 Christ Church College
📍 Oxford Castle & Prison
📍 Magdalen College
📍 St Mary’s Passage - a narrow street leading to the Radcliffe Camera where CS Lewis supposedly drew inspiration for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

The city centre is compact enough that you can walk to basically all of the sights on this list in 30 minutes or less. As the colleges are where students are busy living and studying, there are often restrictions on when they are open to visitors from the public, so if there are any particular colleges you want to see, it’s worth it to check online in advance when their opening hours are and whether you need to book a ticket or a tour to enter.

These 3 hotels I stayed at during my last trip to England are all living in my head rent free for their unique charm and beauty. Plus, as someone who loves history, knowing some of the storied past that each of these buildings have lived through centuries ago makes it so much more interesting to stay at and imagine all the people who came before you!

• Hazlewood Castle: A luxury hotel and spa born out of a 13th-century castle, a quiet retreat in the middle of the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside.
• Hotel Indigo Bath: A small boutique stay built out of what was once 12 Georgian townhomes, with thoughtfully-eclectic interior decor that calls back to the city’s history
• Milner York Hotel: A Victorian railway hotel reborn as a modern, stylish place to rest your head that’s only steps away from the train station!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 If you’re planning on visiting the Isle of Skye in Scotland for the first time in 2026, make sure you save this itinerary so that you don’t miss seeing any of these beautiful spots!

⛰️ The Trotternish peninsula is the northernmost peninsula on the Isle of Skye, and is home to some of the most well-known and breathtaking landscapes on the island such as the iconic Old Man of Storr, and the breathtaking Quiraing.

🥾If you’re planning to do any hiking during your trip make sure you come prepared with enough water, good hiking footwear, and insulating + windproof layers in case the weather takes a turn for the worse, (which is all too common on Skye!)

📸 If you aren’t going to do any hiking, then it is possible to drive the entire Trotternish loop in half a day and just stop briefly at each point for some sightseeing and photo ops. However if you have the time I highly recommend giving yourself an entire day to explore this area, otherwise you’ll be missing out on some beautiful views!

🏰 Be sure to check the opening dates and times for Dunvegan Castle before planning your trip, as it closes to the public for the winter season! In 2026 the opening dates are April 1 - October 15. It takes approximately half an hour to drive from Portree to Dunvegan Castle, and then another half an hour onwards from Dunvegan to Neist Point.

One of my favourite things about traveling to different places is getting a glimpse into what other types of lives are like, and, for a brief moment, being able to imagine yourself in that other lifetime.

Oxford was one of those places where I felt that so strongly. Walking the streets at twilight where countless scholars and academics have walked before me made me wonder what sort of a life I would have had if I had pursued academia. I hope there’s a parallel universe version of me somewhere who is enjoying that path 🤍

🇬🇧 London is one of my favourite cities in the world, even after it was the place where I became a victim of crime! There’s truly SO much to see that you could spend months here doing all of the touristy things and never get bored.

I’ve visited 4 times now, but each time was too short. I’m hoping that I can make a longer stay possible within the next couple of years 👀
