I am a wife, a mother of 6 children, and a nurse by profession. I have also taken on the role of a caregiver to my aging parents. to Canada in 2001 as a registered nurse in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I had my own share of struggles as a newcomer, leaving behind my family. Working 12 to 16 hours, even during very cold winter days, being away from my husband and very young children then, having no relative in Winnipeg, getting bullied in the workplace, and so much more. With determination and great support from friends at work and people who have 'adopted' me into their families, encouragement from my family in the Philippines, and a lot of faith and prayers, I survived the difficulties. I understand the struggles of parents when they cannot give their children their basic needs and wants, like joining extra-curricular activies in school. I feel the heartaches of mothers who are away from their children. My heart bleeds for overseas workers who are breadwinners, missing their parents, worried about their health, especially when their parents get sick and finances are a real struggle. I understand the pain of single parents juggling 2 to 3 jobs, to pay rent, for their children's school, and at the same time sending support to their families. I love being a nurse, as a matter of fact, I have been practicing for over 30 years. But the physical demands of my job, long work hours and stress, are taking its toll on me. I am glad to have this digital business because it allows me to enjoy what I love while the automated system works in the background. Let’s be real — hindi palaging smooth ang takbo ng buhay.

Minsan magulo, minsan unfair, minsan sobrang sakit.

Pero okay lang ‘yan. 🌸
Ang mahalaga, hindi lang kung ano ang nangyari —
kundi paano mo ito tinitingnan.

Kapag dumarating ang challenges, huwag mong hayaan na lamunin ka ng negativity.
Be a filter, not a sponge.
Kunin mo lang ‘yung aral, ‘yung growth, ‘yung grace —
at hayaan mo na ‘yung pain na dumaan lang.

Kasi bawat karanasan, may itinuturo.
Minsan patience.
Minsan faith.
Minsan lakas ng loob. 💪

At madalas, paalala lang ito na —
mas matatag ka pala kaysa akala mo.

Hindi mo man makontrol ang sitwasyon,
pero kaya mong piliin kung paano ka magre-react.
Diyan nakatago ang tunay mong power.

I stopped chasing “perfect.”

I used to think I had to be everything — the perfect mom, wife, daughter, nurse, mentor.

But you know what? Peace feels so much better than perfection. 🌿

Now I choose authenticity over approval, joy over pressure,
and grace over guilt.

Because when you stop trying to be perfect,
you finally start living whole. 💖

If Only for a Moment

Sometimes, I wish I could hold them again—
those tiny hands that once fit perfectly in mine,
those sleepy eyes that trusted me with their whole world.
I’d breathe in that baby scent,
and let time stop—
kahit saglit lang.

Back then, I thought the nights would never end.
Now I’d give anything to relive even one of them.
Because one day, the crying stopped,
and the silence became the sound I miss the most.

Motherhood is funny that way—
we pray for them to grow,
and then our hearts whisper, “Slow down, anak…”

I'm forever thankful God made me a wife and mother. I feel so blessed.

✨ Courage isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s quiet, personal, and beautiful.

I met this incredible woman at the Run for the Cure—a survivor who faced mastectomy and all the fear, pain, and uncertainty that comes with it. She told me she didn’t like the scar, so she turned it into art. She got a tattoo over the site of her surgery, and now she loves it, and even said she's OK to show her face and her tattoo.🌸

To me, this isn’t just a tattoo. It’s a picture of bravery. Of reclaiming her body. Of saying, I survived, and I am beautiful on my own terms.💗🎀

Ladies, let this remind you: there’s power in turning pain into art, fear into courage, and loss into love—for yourself. 💖
