Okay I am SO behind on posting! I’ll try to catch up this week. To start, here are a few pics and vids from the Halloween elementary school dances I did this fall! 🎃

This is the full 3-hour DJ set from a pretty unique wedding dance party I mixed a couple weekends ago. The bride and groom had quite the eclectic taste in music and wanted the party to evolve from timeless classics to high-energy electronic beats.

Along with 15-or-so ‘Must Play’ songs on their music planning form, they also gave me these instructions:

8:00 PM: Opening dance floor with older classics for the mature audiences (eg. ABBA, Rolling Stones, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Bowie, etc.)

9:00 pm: More modern music… alt/electro-indie, rap, etc (eg. Cake, MGMT, Run the Jewels, Franz Ferdinand, Mac Miller, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, Lit, Green Day, Sum 41, Offspring, Blink-182, GRiZ, Avicii)

10:00 pm onward: EDM —> house —> drum and bass

Check out this recent corporate event I did for !

I arrived at 1:00 PM to load-in and set up my custom black DJ booth, large sound system, and 20-ft lighting truss with 4 moving spots and 2 high-powered lasers, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Empress.

At 5:00 PM, I walked down to Ship Point with my DJ controller and laptop, and hooked up to the sound system provided by to play music for Part 1 of the event, which included food and drinks by ; live performances by and ; roaming photo booth by ; and a 10 minute drone show (with 400 drones!) put on by .

At 9:45 PM I quickly packed up my DJ controller and walked back to my setup at the Empress, and by 10:15 I was DJing the EPIC afterparty! 🎉

Party was over at 1:00 AM and I was packed up and loaded out by 2:45 AM and crawling into bed by 3:45 AM. Phew!

A recent wedding at the historic —a true icon of Canadian luxury—where I provided ceremony AV services in the Palm Court; cocktail music in the Shaughnessy Foyer; and DJ, MC, sound, and lighting services (including lasers!) for one EPIC reception in the Crystal Ballroom. 🎉🍾

Check out this stunner of a wedding I DJ’d at a 300 acre farm, nestled in the Cowichan Valley, owned by the groom’s family. With a ceremony beside the water, dinner in an open field, and dancing in the barn, there was truly nothing left to be desired! 😍

I provided a portable self-powered PA system with microphones for the ceremony, a PA speaker outside the barn for cocktail hour music, and another self-powered speaker and mic for dinner music and speeches in the field.

My DJ setup featured my custom white booth, white sound system, and uplighting in a warm candlelight white to highlight the beautifully rustic hand cut timber framing in the barn.

Check out this wedding I was recently part of at the historic Hatley Castle 👑✨

A fairytale setting, a love-filled dance floor, and the one and only officiating the ceremony: Legendary doesn’t even begin to cover it!🤵🏻‍♂️🤵🏼

For this wedding, I provided ceremony sound in the garden, MC services during dinner, and DJing in the castle for the epic dance party. 🪩🕺🏻💃

Here is a recent wedding reception I did at the . No sit-down dinner; just cocktails, speeches, and party time! 🙌🏻

I had my DJ booth, sound system, and lighting in the bar / dance floor area, with a few uplights in the adjoining room, set to a nice warm white for people who wanted to chill out at the tables.

Okay so this was probably the hottest dance floor I’ve DJ’d so far this year! Like, it was probably 35°C but it was also an absolutely BUMPIN’ party! 🔥

For this wedding, I had my white DJ booth with a custom video loop created by a friend of the bride, my white sound system, and uplighting around the space. I also provided my acoustic guitar for a surprise musical performance by the groom’s father, during his speech.

I took care of the ceremony sound in the forest, too, with a fully self-powered setup that included discreet mic’ing for the officiant, bride, and groom; as well as mic’ing to enhance the overall volume of the string quartet.

For cocktail hour, I provided a single PA speaker with a preset playlist of music, chosen by the bride and groom.
