Humbled and grateful for this reflection of my journey.
The journey continues. 🙏✨

Kezang D Wangmo is someone who has worn many hats and worn them well. She’s not just known for one thing, but for across several fields, from music and acting to politics and even promoting organic farming. Her journey reflects both talent and a deep passion for making a difference.

Her journey into the public eye began with music. As a singer, she quickly won people over with her voice and heartfelt performances. Songs like “A La La Ngi Sem” resonated deeply with listeners, helping her become a familiar and loved figure in Bhutan’s music scene.

From there, stepping into acting felt like a natural progression. On screen, she showed remarkable depth and authenticity, proving her versatility as an artist. Her performance in “Sem Gi Damtse” stood out in particular, earning her national recognition, including awards for Best Newcomer and Best Female Lead. It was clear that acting wasn’t just an experiment, it was another space where she truly belonged.

But her ambitions didn’t stop in the arts. With a strong desire to serve her community, she moved into politics, where her confidence, intelligence, and sincere concern for people have made her a respected voice. At the same time, her work in promoting organic farming highlights her commitment to sustainability and the well-being of future generations in Bhutan.

In the end, her story is about more than talent—it’s about purpose. She shows that it’s possible to follow different passions, wear many hats, and still create a meaningful impact.

My Takeaway from Residency Day One.

Day one of residency gave me many things to reflect on. There were several meaningful takeaways, but one idea stayed with me because it felt important to share back home. In today’s uncertain world, we do not always know what lies ahead, and that is exactly why self sufficiency and agriculture feel more relevant than ever. This reflection made me want to gently remind ourselves to prepare, to stay grounded, and to continue valuing the ability to sustain ourselves.
As we discussed uncertainty and how people survived difficult times in history, I found myself thinking about our ancestors. They lived close to nature. They grew their own food, stored what they harvested, and relied on knowledge passed down from one generation to another. That knowledge helped them survive without depending too much on outside systems.

It made me reflect on whether we are slowly moving away from these practices.
I am not against progress or modernization. But in uncertain times, knowing how to grow our own food, valuing agriculture, and passing this knowledge to younger generations feels very important. These are not just traditions. They are practical skills that can help us remain resilient and prepared.
This is just one of many takeaways from today, but it is something I felt important to share. Especially as a gentle reminder back home to continue valuing agriculture, local food, and self sufficiency.
Sometimes, preparing for the future begins by holding on to the wisdom we already have. 🌱🌱🌱

My mother has been living with Parkinson’s since 2021. Every three months, she is admitted for treatment at the Traditional Hospital and JDWNRH, often staying about two weeks each time. Today, she undergoes another eye procedure. 🙏
Even from afar, I stay actively involved in her care, arranging support, covering her needs, and trying to stay closely connected every day.

Her eldest son Tsampa and his family have been keeping her with them in my absence.
I am thankful to Sonam Choden for taking care of her as her own mother and specifically to my dear friend Dorji Pem for providing daily food and essentials over the past weeks and still continuing. Thanks Sonam Rigsel for being alys there for us. I am also grateful to friends who took the time to visit her.

We often speak of Tha-dam -tse. It is not in words, it is in who stands by you when it truly matters. In the end, our actions carry meaning, and karma quietly follows. 🙏
I am deeply grateful to all the doctors and nurses who continue to care for my mother each time she is admitted. Your kindness and commitment truly make a difference. 🙏😇

Who truly wants to change the world?
🏹Start by empowering women.

Empower women socially so they stand with dignity.
Empower women culturally so traditions celebrate their strength.
Empower women through education, opportunity, and leadership.
Because when women are supported, families flourish, communities thrive, and peace becomes possible.
The future of the world is written in the strength of its women.
Happy International Women’s Day from us to you.

On the 14th day of the first lunar month, we remember one of the Buddha’s miracles when King Udrayana’s offering of flowers transformed into precious jewels, symbolizing the power of faith and devotion.
During Choetrul Duchen, it is believed that the effects of both positive and negative actions are multiplied millions of times. May we accumulate merit through wholesome deeds and dedicate it for the benefit of all beings.

With whatever little merit I accumulate through the good deeds of today and past days, may it contribute to the liberation of all sentient beings from samsara. 🙏🌱

Happy Miracle Month to everyone la.🙏🏻

In August 2024, with the support of dedicated nutritionists and a local team of experts, I researched and produced Bhutan’s first plant based cooking talk show under my production license, celebrating our food culture, beliefs, and traditions.
Though Season 2 did not continue for now due to various reasons, Season 1 was only the beginning. I remain grateful for the learning and the journey.
This auspicious month feels like a meaningful time to reflect on plant based food consumption and to share ideas around our food culture and traditions.

Sharing these episodes here for those who may not have seen them on YouTube.
