Big news for Oak Bay Studios: we've signed with Different Direction Mgmt. Grateful for Peter Hackman's belief in where we're headed, and excited for what's next!

We're honored to welcome Jacqueline Perriam & Erik Abbink, the award-winning composer team from Canada, to Different Direction Management!

They first came to our attention a few years ago, when we came across their stunning album "Transcribed!" on Spotify. Since then they've remained quite busy having scored a multitude of movies and series including; 𝘽𝙇𝙐𝙀 𝙎𝙆𝙄𝙀𝙎, Netflix's 𝘼 𝙑𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙔𝘼𝙍𝘿 𝘾𝙃𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙏𝙈𝘼𝙎, the documentary series 𝘼𝙂𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙎𝙎 𝙂𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙎; Hallmark's 𝙉𝙀𝙇𝙇𝙔 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒𝙎 𝙈𝙔𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙎: 𝘼 𝙁𝘼𝙏𝘼𝙇 𝙀𝙉𝙂𝘼𝙂𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 and many more!

Jacqueline was an accomplished soloist and chamber musician before settling into film/TV scoring and Erik served as an Artist in Residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. In 2022, they were awarded a Leo Award for Best Musical Score in a Documentary Series for 𝙑𝙄𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝙂𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙍𝙎! Together they run Oak Bay Studios - Film Composers.
