Drifting through frozen silence.

Flying a drone in Iceland feels like unlocking a secret world. From above, everything looks like art, glaciers, icebergs, and endless blue hues.

Exploring the Snaefllsnes Peninsula 🇮🇸

I spent the last couple of days during my Iceland trip exploring the west peninsula just north of Reykjavik. The weather really wasn’t great, crazy winds, hail storms and a lot of cloud cover.

But one thing I learned early as a photographer is how to be patient.

When I got to Kirkjufellsfosaar (1st image), the mountain was completely hidden behind thick clouds. Instead of continuing on, I parked, opened up my laptop, watched an episode of Peaky Blinders… and about 45 min later the skies started to break and a fricken rainbow came out! I captured this photo.

No golden-hour banger or northern lights magic, but I’m pretty stoked with the result.
