Zelinski’s lifelong appreciation of the The Niagara Peninsula has inspired him to create his 10th coffee table book "NIAGARA: Land Between Two Waters", a new 136-page edition featuring brilliant landscape, wildlife and cultural photographs of Niagara Region. Mark Zelinski trained as an artist and a designer, and graduated as the top student of OCAD University in 1979. His diverse career as a professional photographer has taken him across 80 countries, with clients ranging from NFB The National Film Board of Canada to Panasonic. He is also a publisher, writer, painter, filmmaker, speaker, Fellow of Royal Canadian Geographical Society, member of The Explorer’s Club The Explorers Club- Canadian Chapter, Board Member of Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Network and winner of the Canadian Governor General’s Medal. Since 1995, Mark has enjoyed serving as wedding photographer for hundreds of Royal Botanical Gardens and Heritage Weddings. Mark has published nine internationally acclaimed photography books, which include forewords by Prince Philip, The Honourable Lincoln Alexander, AFN Ontario Chief Isadore Day and The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau.

Belfountain artist Wendy Mitchell sculptor’s work, “Escarpment’s Embrace”, depicts the history of Belfountain and Forks of the Credit area by carving the 440-million year old Niagara Escarpment, old growth trees, Credit River’s thriving ecosystems, iconic waterfalls and historic railway trestle. A nod to the area’s quarrying past, Mitchell included quarry spurs with stonemasons’ tools. On October 4 2025, the finished bronze statue was installed in Belfountain’s commons area with a First Nations’ Healing Garden to mark the hamlet’s 200th anniversary in Peel Region. The entire hamlet of Belfountain was closed for the day for the once-in-a-lifetime celebration and parade.
