Its another snail boy !

Here is a weird story, when i was going to school back in Guelph. i would find snails all over the side walk ~ specially in the dewy mornings. Unfortunately, people are not as caring as i am towards living creatures. I would find so many crushed little snails 😭. So i started just picking them up and throwing them back in the field, yes it probably screws up their course but they were gonna die so ... i would just save them. i did start noticing less snails being crushed since i started. but yeah it was a summer of saving snails

Its blob time, Today i bring you the complimentary minis for the last blob i posted. This little guy was born from the extrusions of the Mother blob. The Mother blob was made out of 3 colors blue, orange and green. This guy was born out of her green goop 💚I don't know if i mentioned before in my last post, but this whole series how the shape turned out, also the way the foam broke out of the shape. it all just reminds me of snails or slugs. What ever the case they're adorable in my eyes. specially this one he is quickly becoming of my new faves.

I'm finally out of hibernation 🥶 So time for more blobs 🩵

Its been a bit since I've made a larger blob and that is mostly because I was working on one in the background for a bit now. Sometimes the process takes a bit.. and I also start like a hundred other projects and exhaust my poor brain. So more about the blob, This blob was created with the experimentation of inserting foam into a shape and watching it spill out. I've been collecting the dried paint skins of paint containers (as one does). specially the ones that stay intact, I then fill them with poly foam. the results have been unpredictable yet satisfying. Because of its nature of looking very spilly and gooey. I leaned onto that element of goo and layered it with hard gels to create this florescent layer all around it.

I'm naming this one Mother-X, its overall shape and ripples remind me of a mutation of some kind. As a mother she's also creating off spring, as these little goo babies start forming out of her skin. Her color scheme also matches the three matching pieces that will be posted later this week 🥲. I see this as my snail series 🐌

This one is the sister blob to the firey boy i posted earlier this week.
Now you may be thinking fire and ice, but that's not it. When fire reaches certain temperatures the flame changes colours✨. Blue being one of the hottest flames 🩵💙.

Also lashes ! Why lashes you ask? because it makes her a total hottie 🩵.

It's the holidays !
So i thought this blob would perfectly suit it. One summery night i was watching a log burn, as one does. The bright ember colours that came from the log and afterwards leaving this dusty ash white surface. That directly inspired the colour and surface for this blob. I've always loved textures and i wanted to see how close i could replicate the texture of a burning log ☺️.

Out of all the minis this one has a special place in my heart. i don't know why i just think its the cutest. I always couple this blob with Mother. They're displayed together and if to be sold they would be sold together. they match the story line him being the little child of mother.

This blob was an experimentation of mixing different foams. I first used regular foam from the hardware store. Then i finished it with smooth-on foam-it. I wanted to see the difference between the two. In the end, i saw that the hardware store foam can be super sensitive and a lot rougher when curing. smooth on being the complete opposite.
