A few outtakes from filming today 😂 Maybe Carhartt will take pity on the jeans.

Some days the camera cooperates. Some days it takes a few tries.

Take some time and get checked when the opportunity is there.

Take some time and get checked when the opportunity is there.

Stopping by the Mole Mobile in Charlottetown this morning to get checked out today. It’s one of those things that’s easy to put off, but taking a bit of time to have something looked at can be well worth it.

They’re in Charlottetown today and Summerside tomorrow, so if you’ve been meaning to get a spot or mole checked, this might be a good opportunity to do it.

I found an entire family of pigeons living in the attic of this 1902 historic house.
After sadly finding a few pigeons that had perished inside, I went looking for where they were getting in. Sure enough, they had been squeezing through a small gap beside one of the attic windows.
Now comes the tricky part, safely getting the remaining pigeons out before sealing the opening for good.
Old house restoration is rarely predictable, and this place always seems to have another surprise waiting.

Congratulations.
You clicked on a video because a man asked if you wanted to see his wood.
Now that you're here... this is what a real 2×10 looks like. Apparently size does matter…

Hidden behind wallpaper in a closet, we found this single newspaper page from November 5, 1947.
Nearly eighty years later, some of the headlines feel surprisingly familiar. Cost of living concerns, U.S. elections, tensions in Palestine, and disagreements between world powers all made the front page that day.
Whoever tucked this away likely never imagined it would be discovered generations later. Just one more reminder that old houses don't just hold memories, they hold moments in time.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper update. Between exploring public service Dean MacArthur, work, and a few other projects, life has been keeping me busy. But the Parish House has never been far from my mind.
Today I was finally back opening windows, checking on things, and seeing how the old place weathered another season. There is still a tremendous amount of work ahead, but every visit reminds me why this project is worth saving.
A lot has happened, and there’s plenty more to come.
