WeRcircular attended a Whitchurch Stouffville Chamber of Commerce event for the first time. It was hosted by Stained Glass Centre for the Performing Arts with a live band, Fuller Lloyd Magee band living into the wonderful acoustics for their venue.

It was a valuable networking opportunity and I met many people that helped me better understand business opportunities in Stouffville. The people in the picture from left to right are:

Did you know electronics are banned from curbside collection?

Drop off your unwanted electronics for recycling at our electronics recycling event at the Stouffville Operations Centre!

Refuse it. Less packaging.

Reesor’s Farm Market limits the use of non-renewable resources in every aspect of their business:
- Local food representing the low food miles and transport emissions.
- Encourage re-useable shopping bags, provide compostable and recyclable paper bags.
- Re-useable, recyclable or compostable packaging.
- Biodegradable film for packaging that needs it.

They even give back through food donations to groups like the Stouffville Food Bank. It’s a fresh take on how businesses and consumers can reduce their footprint by “refusing” non-renewables together.

A Lendery, also known as a "library of things," provides free access to equipment, technologies, and experiences that foster use within our community.
It reduces waste through shared useful items that residents often need only once in a while, such as tools, small appliances, and sports equipment. Community can use items without having to buy them using a loaning system.

Why use a Lendery?
It can save money, space, time, and the environment.
No money spent on new items
No space required to store items
No time spent researching best brands and prices
No extra energy or natural resources used to produce new items

We are excited to invite you to meet weRcircular at the Town of Stouffville's Earth Day event at the library on Saturday, April 25th from 10am - 2pm.

For the last few weeks we have been running a public awareness campaign spotlighting Stouffville local businesses whose work reflects circular economy principles — repair, reuse, refill, and more — helping the community see circularity already happening in their own neighbourhood. The campaign demonstrates something we believe strongly: Stouffville, we’re already circular.
