🍂🏔️ THE YUKON NEVER GETS OLD.

You can see the same mountains a hundred times… and somehow, they still take your breath away.

Right now, the fall colours are putting on a show. 🍁

The golden trees standing out against the deep blue water, the mountains rising beyond the shoreline, and that crisp northern air all come together to create a view that feels almost unreal.

This is the kind of place where you stop for a moment, forget about everything else, and just take it in.

The Yukon doesn’t need to change to be breathtaking.

Sometimes, all it takes is a different season to remind you just how beautiful it really is. ❤️🇨🇦

The Yukon never gets old. It just keeps finding new ways to take your breath away.

Them: “Why would you ever want to live in the Yukon?”

Me: “Yukon.”

Because how do you explain a place that makes you feel more alive?

How do you explain the mountains that make you stop and stare, the endless roads that somehow make you feel free, the rivers, the wildlife, the quiet, and those moments when you realize there’s nowhere else you’d rather be?

You don’t really choose the Yukon.

Somehow, the Yukon chooses you. 🏔️🇨🇦

And if you know… you know.

💨🌬️ IT’S WINDY IN WHITEHORSE!

Came home tonight to find our tent on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE and stuff scattered everywhere! 😂

At this point, I’m just impressed the fence is still standing. 😅

Anyone else in Whitehorse spending their evening chasing down patio furniture, tents, garbage cans and everything else that decided it wanted to explore the neighbourhood?!

How many things has the wind stolen from you tonight? 😂💨

🇨🇦🏔️ WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN WHITEHORSE, YUKON! 🍂

There’s something about a day like this in the North that makes you slow down and take it all in.

The crisp fall air.
The golden colours.
The mountains in the distance.
The Yukon River running through it all.

Fall has a way of making Whitehorse feel completely different — quieter, colder, and somehow even more beautiful. 🍁

You don’t always need to go far to find an adventure here.

Sometimes, the adventure is right outside your door. 🏔️❤️

🍂🏔️ THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT LIVING IN THE NORTH. 🇨🇦

You don’t realize how much the Yukon changes you until you’ve been here long enough.

You start noticing things you used to overlook.

The way the mornings get quieter when fall arrives.

The first frost on the windshield.

The smell of woodsmoke in the air.

The mountains slowly changing colours.

The way the sun disappears a little earlier every evening.

And suddenly, you realize another season is coming to an end.

Today might be the last day on the water.

The last fishing trip before the boat gets cleaned up, covered, and put away for the winter.

And there’s something bittersweet about it.

Because living in the North teaches you that nothing stays the same for long.

Summer gives way to fall.

Fall gives way to winter.

The rivers freeze.

The lakes turn white.

The days grow short.

And eventually, when you least expect it, spring comes back around.

But that’s what makes every season matter.

You learn to make the most of the warm days.

You learn to appreciate the last evening on the lake.

The last campfire.

The last boat ride.

The last cast.

Because you know winter is coming.

And somehow, that makes these moments mean even more.

The Yukon has a way of slowing you down.

It reminds you that life isn’t about constantly chasing what’s next.

Sometimes it’s about standing beside the water, watching the sun disappear behind the mountains, and realizing…

this moment is enough.

🇨🇦 This is life North of 60°.

The seasons are bigger.

The wilderness is closer.

The roads are longer.

The winters are colder.

And the memories somehow last a little longer.

🍂 Another season coming to an end.

But if there’s one thing the North teaches you…

there’s always another adventure waiting around the corner. ❤️

🎣🍂 THE LAST FISHING TRIP OF THE SEASON. 🇨🇦

Today is one of those days you wish you could slow down.

One last trip out on the water.
One last cast.
One last ride in the boat before it gets cleaned up, covered, and put away for another long northern winter.

There’s something bittersweet about that last day. You know the seasons are changing. The mornings are getting colder, the days are getting shorter, and before long, that open water will be covered in ice.

But that’s the beauty of living in the North.

We don’t just watch the seasons change — we live them.

Every summer has its memories. Every fishing trip has a story. And every fall reminds you that nothing lasts forever.

So today, I’m going to soak it all in. 🎣🍁

The boat may be going away for the winter…
but the memories aren’t.

Here’s to one last day on the water. ❤️

🍁🇨🇦 FALL IS HERE IN THE YUKON! 🇨🇦🍁

The days are getting shorter.
The mornings are getting colder.
And the Yukon is putting on one of its most beautiful shows. 🏔️🍂

The greens are fading into gold, yellow, orange and red, painting the mountains, highways and lakesides in every direction.

There’s something different about fall up here.

The crisp air.
The quiet mornings.
The smell of the forest.
The first frost on the windshield.
And those golden sunsets that seem to last just a little longer. 🍂❄️

Winter is coming… and you can feel it.

But before the snow takes over, the Yukon gets one last spectacular moment. 🏔️🍁

Welcome to fall in the Yukon. ❤️

🇺🇸👻 SKAGWAY, ALASKA — THE GHOST TOWN THAT WASN’T ALWAYS A GHOST TOWN 🏔️

Today, Skagway is a major stop for cruise ships and one of the most visited towns in Southeast Alaska.

But walk through its historic streets and you can almost feel another version of Skagway hiding underneath it all… 👀

During the Klondike Gold Rush, thousands of people flooded into Skagway hoping to strike it rich in the Yukon. ⛏️💰

For a short time, this tiny town exploded into one of the busiest places in the North.

Then the Gold Rush faded.

People packed up.

Businesses closed.

And Skagway suddenly became a much quieter place — earning a reputation as a ghost town of the Gold Rush era.

Today, many of those historic buildings still stand, preserved as part of Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park.

And here’s the crazy part…

During cruise season, Skagway can be packed with thousands of visitors.

But once the ships leave and the streets quiet down…

you can almost hear the ghosts of the Gold Rush. 👻🏔️

Have you ever walked through Skagway after the crowds disappeared?

Would you explore this place at night? 👀👇

🍂 What’s your favourite time of the year?

I think every season has a way of changing us.

Summer brings long days, late nights, and the feeling that there’s always more time.

Winter slows everything down. The cold settles in, the world gets quieter, and somehow the simplest things feel a little more meaningful.

Spring feels like a fresh start.

But there’s something about fall in the North that hits differently. 🍁

The days get shorter. The mornings get darker. The air gets colder. The colours begin to disappear, one by one.

And maybe that’s what makes it so beautiful.

Fall reminds us that nothing stays the same forever. That change can be beautiful. That sometimes you have to let a season go before you can experience what comes next.

Here in the Yukon, you can feel winter waiting just around the corner. And while some people are already dreaming about summer again, I’m standing here taking in every golden tree, every cold morning, and every last bit of daylight.

Because someday, we’ll look back and realize these were the days we were living.

So tell me…

What’s your favourite time of the year — and what does it mean to you? ❤️🍁
