A huge thank you to every volunteer and donor who poured their heart into our Christmas celebration. They say the opposite of addiction isn't just sobriety—it’s connection. For those working hard on their recovery, being away from family during the holidays can be incredibly heavy.
​Because of your kindness, no one had to carry that weight alone. We saw walls come down and friendships form over a shared meal. It was a beautiful reminder that even when we are 'working on ourselves,' we still need each other. Thank you for making sure everyone felt seen, loved, and connected this year.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

😊 Huge thanks to Greg Lemay , Macro Foods, and all the sponsors and volunteers who made this happen! They spreading 2500 pre-made turkey dinners across our community 🎅 - that's no small feat.

As a friend of Greg, I know how much work goes into this - organizing, posters, picking up donations, sorting, and getting deliveries out. It's a massive effort, and they pull it off.

Folks facing tough times - job loss, grief... it's real. Seeing the impact firsthand like that reminds you why we do this.

This isn't just food; it's care, connection, and support. It's showing up for each other in the hard seasons. 🙌 Thanks, Greg, for leading this. You're making a difference, and you're appreciated! 🌟

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Darrell Edgar and his wife Beth for their unwavering support this year. They've opened up Ambassador Church to us, freely offering a space for our meetings weekly and events. Despite the hustle and bustle, they've shown nothing but kindness and warmth. We arent always easy! We are always in constant communication and recognize we take up alot of Pastors time!! Hes in high demand!

They go above and beyond - from putting on a pot of coffee before we arrive to being patient with our endless requests. Inviting us to Friday dinners and giving us a place to worship on Sundays.😊 Their compassion, patience, and advocacy truly stand out. They're a constant source of encouragement, always thinking of us and standing beside us with no stigma.

Our recovery programs wouldn't exist without them. We're grateful for their belief in our mission and support of House of Hope. Thank you, Pastor Daryl and Beth for being incredible allies! 🙏

We're overwhelmed with gratitude to Greg Lemay for his continuous support every year! All the toy donations will bring joy to the women of House of Hope and the community. Huge thanks to TecumsehFire and Rescue, Tecumseh Goodfellows, Sean McNamara, Melissa McNamara and Bob Cameron of REACT Windsor-Essex React & Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative for topping up the toy donation and pantry foods. We're blessed to have such a wonderful village supporting us!

A key aspect of our program is maintaining the bond between mothers and their children. We achieve this by providing scheduled in-house visits on Saturdays, allowing them to nurture their relationships while focusing on recovery.

We're thrilled to receive this generous gift, which will help support our women in our programs and make a tangible difference in their lives.

House of hope has a table at the university today, staff and some clients are in conferences all day.

" Conference is a collaborative effort between the Sahra Bulle Foundation and the Office of the Vice-President of People, Equity, and Inclusion. Held during the UN’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, this event is dedicated to fostering dialogue, education, and actionable steps against gender-based violence against women and girls. Through insightful sessions and engaging discussions, the conference aims to unite advocates, survivors, and change-makers to propel tangible steps in dismantling systemic barriers and promoting gender equality and respect. It's a pivotal moment to empower change and create a more equitable society for all."
