2025 has been a very busy year with over 40 individuals saved❤️ And many more by those followers choosing compassion in their lives🫶
From sweet arthritic Amish draft horses like Dixie and Belle, beautiful but crippled “dairy” cows like Hope, unwanted older dogs like Ollie and Stella, aged school horses like Sidney, innocent steers like Elliot and Romeo, lovable sheep like Hummy and Rikki no longer young enough to be Moms, to Mama cats and kittens desperate before the harsh winter, all needing safety and protection. There was only one fate destined for each one, until you helped us save them.
Sanctuaries differ from most rescues as we are a permanent home for most our Residents which for some may mean only a short period of comfort and love, while for others it can mean a lifetime of peace surrounded by friends and family. (Horses can live up to 30 years while cows can live from 20-25.) That’s where you our supporters come in and make everyday at the Little Red Barn possible. We are not just your average “little red barn” we are a home for animals surrounded with love and compassion.
Residents like Lucky, who was “lucky” to be born into sanctuary will never know the fate that awaited his pregnant Mom, nor will he know the fate of unwanted dairy bull calves. Instead, he gets to run and play as all babies should surrounded by his loving attentive Mom and playful friends no matter the species.
If you would like to support our wonderful Residents this new year, we would be so grateful. All donations will go directly towards feeding our Residents. It costs approximately $100 per day for all care. We have no paid staff and a handful of dedicated volunteers along with my family.
Donations by PayPal or etransfer to [email protected] gratefully accepted🙏
With love, your Little Red Barn family💝
