Newborn baby 'k^ll€d by boy, 6, wandering through hospital's maternity ward

It has been alleged the baby girl suffered a traumatic brain injury after the child reportedly dropped her on the floor.

A criminal enquiry is underway after a six-year-old boy allegedly killed a newborn baby after dropping her on the floor in the maternity unit of a hospital in France.

The baby girl, who has been identified as Zayneb-Cassandra, was said to have been born premature to a 23-year-old woman earlier on this month.

But in a tragedy on Friday, July 11, it was reported the baby suffered a traumatic brain injury after the six-year-old boy had allegedly "treated her like a doll," and dropped her on the floor at the Jeanne-de-Flandre Children’s Hospital in Lille.

It has been reported the child was identified as a 'disruptive presence' prior to the alleged incident, when he was found by himself with the unconscious baby in the neonatal department.
