A simple post caught attention online—not because of the item being asked for, but because of the story hidden in the comments.

Someone wrote:

“Looking for iPhone 7, ₱2,500 budget only. Rush, please.”

It seemed like just another bargain hunt. But one reply hit differently.

A father commented:

“Pasensya na po. Gusto lang po ng anak ko ng ganyan. Hindi ko rin po alam masyado ’yan, pero sinubukan ko lang baka puwede ko ipalit ang phone ko. Medyo mahina rin kita ngayon. Pasensya na talaga.”

You could feel the weight in his words.
He doesn’t even fully understand the phone—but he’s trying.
Trying to make it work.
Trying to make his child happy.
Even if it means giving up the little he has.

What’s even more painful is that he truly believes it’s something his child needs—not just wants.

This wasn’t just a comment. It was a small window into the quiet sacrifices of a parent who carries so much, but says so little.

Be honest with your parents.
Don’t ask for something just because others have it.
Don’t pretend you need it when deep down, it’s just a want.

You may not notice it now, but your parents are silently giving up many things—just so you won’t feel left out.

Your father may not always show it, but he’s trying.
Don’t make him feel like his best isn’t enough.

Because for him, your smile is worth everything.

ISANG MALIIT NA KASINUNGALINGAN PERO MABIGAT ANG DISGRASYA NA KAPALIT AY BUHAY NILA

“Ma, aalis na ako. May pasok po kami."
Simple words.
Normal na paalam.
Pero minsan, 'yun na pala 'yung huling beses nilang maririnig ang boses mo.

Hindi mo alam, pero habang nagsisinungaling ka na "nasa school ka,"
may nanay o tatay na buong araw nagpapagod para sa tuition mo.
May kapatid na iniidolo ka.
May pamilya na buong akala, safe ka.

Pero anong nangyari?

Araw ng klase. Pero hindi sa classroom natapos ang istorya.
Hindi sa blackboard, kundi sa bangungot.
Hindi na graduation ang hinihintay ng magulang mo…
kundi ang hkatawan mo sa morgue.

Real Talk: Bakit mo kailangang magsinungaling?
Okay lang naman mag-enjoy, 'di ba?
Pero sana, may limits.
Sana may discernment.
At sana… hindi sa huli mo lang marerealize ang halaga ng isang "Totoong Paalam."

To Every Student Out There:
Don’t break your parents’ trust.
Don’t fake where you are.
One wrong turn can lead to something permanent.

Ang saya pwedeng hintayin.
Pero buhay? Walang replay.

To the Parents:
Check on your kids.
Huwag puro “okay lang ba grades mo?”
Try “Kamusta ka na talaga?”
“May pinagdadaanan ka ba?”
“Safe ka ba sa mga friends mo?”

Mas okay nang praning sa umpisa kaysa magluksa sa huli.

Lesson Learned:
Hindi lahat ng 'di nagpaalam, makakauwi.
Hindi lahat ng may ngiti sa ID, aabot ng graduation.
So before ka umalis, ask yourself:

✔️ Safe ba itong pupuntahan ko?
✔️ Worth it ba ito?
✔️ Kaya ko bang panindigan kung may mangyaring hindi maganda?

REST IN PEACE!

They were simply out for a quick ride with a male friend on a motorcycle in Pagadian when tragedy struck — the vehicle slammed into a house, claiming two young lives far too soon.

Earlier that day, they left school after attending the Buwan ng Wika opening program. Thinking it was just a short break, they chose not to return to class.

A small decision.
A spontaneous ride.
And in an instant, everything was lost.

Two students, full of promise and dreams, are now gone.

And somewhere, their families are left to endure a kind of sorrow that no words could ever ease.
