OGUN RESIDENTS RAISE CONCERNS OVER DUMPSITE, DILAPIDATED ROAD
Residents and business owners in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State have called for urgent intervention over the condition of a major dumpsite and the poor state of the Sholu-Kajola Road.
According to community members, the dumpsite, located close to commercial and residential areas, has become a source of environmental concern due to persistent foul odours, increased fly infestation, and fears of potential health risks.
Traders in the area say the situation has negatively affected business activities, with some customers avoiding the market because of the unpleasant conditions.
Residents also expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of the road, noting that it becomes increasingly difficult to use during the rainy season, posing challenges for commuters and transport operators.
Stakeholders have urged the relevant authorities to improve waste management practices and rehabilitate the road to enhance public health, safety, and economic activities in the community.

There are moments when the road ahead seems unclear, opportunities appear delayed, and challenges feel overwhelming. Yet, faith reminds us that our current situation is not our final destination.

Faith is choosing to trust God's plan even when you cannot see the full picture. It's believing that every setback has a purpose, every delay has a lesson, and every prayer is heard.
Today, choose faith over fear. Choose hope over doubt. Choose to keep moving forward, knowing that what God has promised, He is faithful to fulfill.

For we walk by faith, not by sight." – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep growing.

A*o Rock Set to Leave National Grid Over Rising Power Costs

Nigeria's Presidential Villa, A*o Rock, is set to fully disconnect from the national electricity grid and rely on a solar-powered energy system. According to officials, the move is aimed at reducing the huge cost of electricity, with reports indicating that the Villa's annual power bill had reached about ₦47 billion.

The Presidency says the solar project will provide a more reliable power supply, reduce dependence on diesel generators, and lower energy expenses. The transition follows the completion of a major solar installation project at the Villa, which has undergone months of testing.

While supporters see the decision as a practical step toward energy efficiency and renewable power, critics argue that it raises concerns about confidence in Nigeria's national electricity infrastructure.
