The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival- WAFF WAFF 2025! November 2025! Exact Dates TBA. Now accepting film submissions. The 21rst Annual WAFF is being held November 24 to 30th , 2022.

The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival is the 3rd largest festival in North America dedicated to showcasing the best new Indigenous film and video from across Canada, the US and around the world. Both on and off screen, WAFF’s mandate is to celebrate and cultivate Indigenous storytelling.

Final day of the Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival.
We have a couple of films today connected with our own WAFF.
The Pickeral Sandwich directed by Coleen Rajotte. A comedy about 2 women who go out to lunch and hilarity ensues.
Papa and Me is a tribute to the late Ernest Blais, friend and producer.
I worked on this project with my son Santino and the great cinematographer, Kane Kirton.
Today’s event will be at Merchants Corner at 541 Selkirk ave beginning at 1 pm with the feature film, Big Crow.

Actress Sera Lys McArthur will be at The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival on Saturday, December 9 @ 8 pm for the screening of Cafe Daughter. She will be introducing the film and participate in a live Q and A after the film. The Former Clarion Hotel at 1445 portage Ave, lower level. Waff.ca for full details.
