🌿🌊 Though the forest is a great love of mine, with its mossy hush and sun-dappled paths, my heart has and will always hold space for the wild wonder of the ocean.

This latest piece was a dive into new waters! A felted squid hat made for none other than Winnipeg’s own Justin Djsquid-squidfood Oko, whose mind-bending psytrance sets ripple with deep, pulsing currents. 🎶🌀

I imagined this hat emerging from a deep-sea dream. A creature of rhythm and mystery. Its single, spiraling te****le curls like a sound wave, with suction cup textures that echo both ocean life and pulsing speakers. Dyed in trippy, bioluminescent hues, it feels ancient and electric, like something you'd find dancing at the bottom of the sea. 🪸🌌

Thank you, DJ Squidfood for inspiring me to create something outside my usual woodland orbit. I had so much fun felting this strange and wonderful ocean-dweller into a hat. This definitely won’t be my last aquatic creature. 💙
