Went to the Orange Shirt Day Pow Wow in Kenora today to honour Residential School Survivors and remember the children who never made it home. I was nervous to go, as I'm not indigenous and wasn't sure of the etiquette. I felt welcome as I took in the event with about 250 other people.

Post 3 - 7:30 am. Our golden girl, sets herself apart. For a few moments yesterday morning, the sun came out and glowed her heart out. I'm going to miss our paddles as this season passes. ,

Post 1 7:07 am - Mother Earth was trying on a few looks yesterday morning. I didn't post the pink, because it looks like AI, but now looking at yesterday's orange post with silver halo, that looks like AI too! So here you go, yesterday, I witnessed nature's glamour girl. From pink/red, to orange, to pale yellows when I turned west, and all within 20 minutes... Then I came home in the pretty grey drizzle. (Such drama)... lol. ,

This rainy afternoon is a tea afternoon. Do you have a tea you make from scratch? My favourite is giant/anise hyssop. From the mint family, this native plant tastes like anise or licorice. mmm.
