This contract role focuses on working with community partners, industry professionals and participants to design and coordinate programs that open doors for BIPOC, Indigenous and Francophone professionals in Manitoba’s media production industry.

Position overview:

7-month contract, 25 hours per week
$30 to $35 per hour
Hybrid work available in Winnipeg

IATSE Local 856, the union that represents film and television crew in Manitoba, is currently seeking Class 1, 2 and 3 drivers for casual, flexible work. Hours may vary in length, frequency and start time.

Position Overview:

Drivers are needed for unit moves, which involve transporting equipment between filming locations in Winnipeg and the surrounding area.

Requirements:

- Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license

- Current driver’s abstract

- Must be able to drive standard (all trucks are manual transmission)

- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

- Must have a high-visibility vest or jacket

- Must wear steel-toed boots
