**Join Us in Supporting Berens River First Nation's Kraft Hockeyville Entry!**

Nu Media Films and Miimiiwiziibiing are excited to present the official entry video for Kraft Hockeyville Canada, and we need your support!

On January 16, 2025, our beloved Reggie Leach Berens River First Nation Memorial Arena was devastated by a fire caused by faulty wiring. This tragic event occurred while students were at school, and many young children, who considered the arena their "second home," witnessed the fire firsthand. The community came together after the incident, and a video shared by Joyce Semple captured this heartbreaking moment, which was later featured by CBC.

Three weeks later, fueled by our strong community spirit, we entered the Kraft Hockeyville Pitch, alongside renowned Stanley Cup winners from Miimiiwiziibiing, Reggie Leach (Philadelphia Flyers) and Jamie Leach (2x Pittsburgh Penguins). Our entry showcases the resilience of our leadership, youth, and community members who were directly affected by the loss of the arena.

The arena was more than just a hockey rink; it hosted countless events and served as a gathering place for our youth. Miimiiwiziibiing has a rich history with hockey, recently celebrating victory in the Shawano Wapunong (Southeast) Tribal Days hockey tournament on February 17th. Now, we must rally together to support the future of the Berens River First Nation Memorial Arena.

**How Can You Help?** We invite you to share, post, and engage with our stories on the Kraft Hockeyville page for Berens River First Nation. Every interaction counts! To vote, simply register with your email. Voting is open for the next 48 hours, and your support is crucial.

Please cast your vote and share this message before voting ends on March 2nd. Together, we can rebuild our community and its connection to hockey.
