Apple today unveiled iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, combining a compact design with expanded functionality. Opened, the device measures as Apple’s thinnest iPhone and features a 7.6-inch inner display with a glare-reducing nano-texture finish for viewing, gaming, and multitasking. A 5.4-inch outer screen offers 90 percent of the iPhone 18 Pro’s display area when closed, while maintaining the same aspect ratio for consistent content scaling.

The phone includes a precision hinge, dual-battery architecture, and an advanced vapor-chamber cooling system. The United Nations General Assembly has endorsed a new world map designed to show countries and continents in more accurate proportion. The “Correct the Map” resolution, sponsored by Togo and supported by the African Union, passed Friday with 164 votes in favour, one against (USA) and six abstentions.

It encourages governments, schools, international organizations and technology companies to use the Equal Earth projection, particularly when landmass size matters.

The non-binding measure challenges the widely used Mercator projection, which enlarges areas near the poles and makes Africa appear smaller. Supporters say the change could correct longstanding misconceptions, while the United States criticized the initiative as ideological.
