The Global Alliance’s European Regional Council and Ferpi – Italian Federation of Public Relations hosted a collaborative AI Symposium Workshop Session in Venice, Italy, in May 2025, where Responsible AI Guiding Principles for the PR and Communication Profession were announced supplemented by the Venice Pledge.

IABC is one of the member organizations and signing partners of this initiative and ongoing pledge to uphold ethical and responsible AI use in communications.

The Venice Pledge represents a commitment to the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management’s Responsible AI Guiding Principles.

These Principles provide member organizations and the global public relations and communication profession with a shared framework for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
