🔥 The Tribe Has Spoken… We’re Recording This Weekend! 🔥

Ever wonder what Survivor would look like if the idols were Infinity Stones, the merge feast was hosted by W***y Wonka, and one challenge involved tagging a greased-up Jeremy Renner? Yeah, us too.

This weekend on The Reel Debaters, we’re marooned on Movie & TV Island for 26 days of cinematic chaos:

🏝️ Tribes named after Nakatomi, Fury Road, and Skynet
🗿 Idols ripped from blockbusters
💥 Challenges so wild Jeff Probst would quit mid-season

Developing story...
ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been taken off the air indefinitely after Nexstar Media, which owns several TV stations, objected to Jimmy Kimmel's remarks about Charlie Kirk's killing.

In other less shocking news Disney caves to their shareholders. Didn’t wanna burry the lead here.

It’s not safe out here anymore.

🎬 Coming Soon 🎬

We’re putting the spotlight on Paul Thomas Anderson — the guy who gave us oil barons screaming about milkshakes, frogs falling from the sky, and the most stressful smoothie date ever put to film.

Is he the last true auteur of Hollywood, or just a cinematic Dirk Diggler showing us a new trick every movie? From Boogie Nights to Phantom Thread to Licorice Pizza, we’ll debate if his career is one evolving style — or like Magnolia, a little bit of everything all at once.

We’ll also ask the big questions: would PTA ever make a streaming movie, or would he drain Netflix’s milkshake just to prove a point?

All building toward his new film, One Battle After Another — and if history’s any clue, there will definitely be blood.

🍿 Coming soon wherever you get your podcasts.

We asked and they delivered. Leave your homes and come back to the theatres. Watch movies proper.

Exhibitors in North American laid out over $1.5 billion in 12 months to build or upgrade theaters including $920 million from the eight largest chains, according to a report by Cinema United (formerly NATO)….NOT THAT NATO.

A year ago, the trade group heralded a pledge by the largest circuits to invest more than $2.2 billion to modernize and upgrade theaters of all sizes over three years. The update today sees the industry making good on the spend and likely to meet that goal as they evolve alongside a shifting industry that is skewing younger and where audiences are seeking premium entertainment experiences.

The Reel Debaters

We all know real life is the inspiration for if not all, most of the movies we love to watch come from.

A Movie just watches better when you know that parts of our culture and history make it to the big screen don’t you agree?

Born out of weekly nights pontificating about cinema while ingesting chicken wings and cheap The Reel Debaters found a way to argue movies outside of the box.

Hosted by Micheal Petrow, a few comedians, some film professionals, a pop culture nerd and a rotating door of movie geeks they sit down each episode and answer some of films least debated arguments like “Who would make a great Prime Minister” or “What ensemble cast would you want to be a secret Santa to”
