Having someone to talk to that has travelled on the same road can be a lifesaver. Check out this great Dyslexia Canada program.

Dyslexia Compass is Dyslexia Canada’s free peer-to-peer support program for parents and caregivers of children with dyslexia.

The purpose of Dyslexia Compass is to offer information and guidance to families who are supporting a child with dyslexia through every stage of their journey.

The program provides information to families to help identify if their child is at risk for dyslexia, navigate the process of getting a formal assessment, implement an IEP (Individual Education Plan) and accommodations, and educate parents about evidence-based literacy instruction.
