The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Walker Duehr to a two-year, two-way contract extension with an AAV in the NHL of $875,000.

Duehr, 28, recorded 17 goals and 17 assists in 62 games with Manitoba last season.

Speaking on Morning Cuppa Hockey, David Pagnotta said there is growing speculation surrounding Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, noting that there is “a lot of noise around him right now.”

Pagnotta added that he cannot confirm whether Hellebuyck has requested a trade, but he is confident that the Jets are not actively trying to move their star netminder.

Winnipeg Jets prospect Brad Lambert is a name to keep an eye on in potential trade discussions.

Matt Larkin recently listed the 22-year-old as a player “to keep an eye on” in his NHL Trade Board for Daily Faceoff.

Earlier this season, insider Frank Seravalli reported that Lambert had been granted permission to seek a trade, a development that remains worth monitoring.

Lambert is entering the third and final year of his entry-level contract and is set to become an RFA next summer.

The Finnish forward appeared in 25 games with Winnipeg this season, recording three goals and three assists for six points.

Verhoeff is projected to be a first-round pick and is considered one of the top defencemen available in this year’s draft.

For much of the past year, the six-foot-four blueliner from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, was viewed as a top-three pick. In recent months, however, his stock has slipped in some rankings, placing him closer to where the Jets are set to select at eighth overall.

With a chance that Verhoeff could still be on the board when Winnipeg makes its pick, the Jets made sure to spend some time with the 17-year-old at the combine.
