I woke up this morning with a new title: TEDx speaker.
I don't even know if I have the words to describe the experience. I'll start with exhilarating, terrifying, happy, emotional, grateful. It was a roller coaster
I was supposed to speak second, but after some technical issues with the first speaker, I told the organizers to send me out. I was ready. So I went first!
It felt so good to be up there. My talk, titled "How to reshuffle your deck when you've been dealt a bad hand," went just as I hoped it would. I had memorized my speech (although, if you look closely at the photo, you can see my "cheat sheet" notes on the floor in front of me, just in case!) and it flowed so easily.
I was so happy to have my family in the audience, along with many friends. I got a standing ovation at the end (!!!) and kind of lost it when I saw my Mum crying in the audience. ❤️
As some of you may know, 2026 is the year of doing things that scare the s**t out of me. This was definitely an experience to add to that list! And with scary things, comes so much growth, experience and knowledge.
Thank you to everyone involved in organizing TEDxArgyle st. I am so honoured to have been a part of this event with so many other talented speakers.
BRB changing my LinkedIn tag line to include "TEDx Speaker."
Edited to add: I'll definitely share the link when it's on the TEDx YouTube channel in the coming weeks!
