🎥 “It’s just been a labour of love” 🏡

When it comes to small towns, communities band together to get the work done. In the case of the Balcarres & District Lions Club and the Balcarres & District Community Foundation, they take things to the next level.

And that community work may not be celebrated daily but during the annual Supper & Auction, it’s that one night per year the community comes together to celebrate. Last year, we approached the club to showcase its work in a new format, and share where the proceeds raised go — right back in to the community.

Enjoy our walk through of the work done by the club, highlighted by a shared piece of farmland, and how it continues to pay off in new ways.

🎥 Ever wonder what it's like working with BLangMedia?

We asked one of our clients, Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours that very question. In February 2025, BLangMedia and SIGN began collaboration on a 14-part video series, showcasing and promoting the services it delivers throughout Yorkton and area, along with its surrounding communities.

CEO Andrew Sedley walks through the work done in front and behind the camera, along with the processes contracting BLangMedia for the project. Sedley also explains the impacts the project has had on staff, service users, the public, as well as donors, using BLangMedia's services as a resource to attract funding.

This past weekend, BLangMedia kicked off the 2025 Tournament season with U11 in Yorkton! In total, 30 athletes took home roughly 20 action shots each, with cellys to dangles and everything in between.
