Motherhood doesn’t mean your kids owe you the life you wish you had.

Your daughter doesn’t have to become the version of you that you never got to be.

Your son doesn’t have to chase the dream you gave up.

They don’t have to pick your sport, your career, your path, your definition of fu***ng success.

Because raising a child isn’t getting another shot at your own life.

It’s getting a front-row seat while someone else builds theirs.

And f**k, what a privilege that is.

Give them roots. Give them confidence. Give them somewhere safe to land.

Then let them surprise the hell out of you with who they become. 🖤

Your unfinished dreams are still yours to chase.
Your kids get their own.

Know a parent who needs this reminder? Send it their way. 👀

Motherhood has made me fall in love with my husband in a completely different fu***ng way.

Our boys don’t lose their minds when Daddy walks through the door because he got lucky.

They do it because he built that.

One bedtime story. One wrestle on the floor. One middle-of-the-night wake-up. One stupid game played 47 fu***ng times. One tiny moment where he could’ve been somewhere else but chose to be right there with them.

Kids notice that s**t.

They remember who makes them feel safe, important and completely fu***ng loved.

So no, I won’t call a dad “lucky” because his kids adore him.

That relationship was earned in a thousand ordinary moments nobody else saw. 🖤

Tag the dad who fu***ng earned it. 👇🏼

Motherhood has made me realize there are some boundaries I’m willing to be a complete fu***ng bitch about.

This is one of them.

Give my kids the extra cookie. Let them stay up too late. Buy them the ridiculous toy I said they absolutely do not need. 😂

But “don’t tell your mom” will never be part of the fun.

Because I never want my kids getting comfortable with the idea that a trusted adult can ask them to keep something from me.

I want that sentence to feel wrong every single fu***ng time they hear it.

And if the wrong person ever says it?

I hope I’ve raised the exact kind of kid who comes running home like:

“MOM, YOU’RE NOT GONNA FU***NG BELIEVE THIS.”

That’s the goal. 🤘🏼

What do you teach your kids… secrets or surprises? 👇🏼

Motherhood comes with enough fu***ng rules.

Grandma’s house doesn’t need all of mine. 😂

Give them the cookie. Let them stay up a little too late. Make the weird snack. Start the ridiculous tradition they’ll still be talking about when they’re 30.

Because some of my favourite childhood memories weren’t made because everything was done “right.”

They were made in the places where I felt completely fu***ng loved.

And if my kids are lucky enough to have a Grandma’s house that feels like that?

Break a few of my rules. 🖤

Now I wanna know… what was the ONE thing you were allowed to do at Grandma’s house that would NEVER fly at home? 😂👇🏼

Motherhood has completely changed what I think it means to leave something behind.

I don’t need my kids to remember a perfect mom.

I want them to remember laughing so hard their stomachs hurt. The stupid s**t I said. The songs I butchered. The traditions that made absolutely no sense to anyone but us.

I want “Remember when Mom…” to start a thousand stories long after I’m gone.

Because maybe that’s the whole fu***ng point.

Not to leave behind a perfect life.

To leave behind a life they’ll never run out of stories about. 🖤

Save this one for the days you’re worried you’re not doing enough. You’re already becoming part of their favourite memories.

Motherhood is fu***ng weird because eventually you realize you’ve been studying the same little humans their entire lives.

I know the difference between tired quiet and something happened quiet. I know when the laugh is forced. I know when “nothing” absolutely means something. 😂

And I know there will probably come a day when they think they can hide everything from me.

Maybe they’ll even get pretty damn good at it.

But there’s something they’re forgetting…

I knew them before they knew themselves.

Before words. Before explanations. Before they could tell me what hurt, what scared them or what they needed.

So when my kids tell me, “Mom, I’m fine.”

Okay, baby. 😂

Just remember your mother has been fluent in your bulls**t since birth. 🖤

Motherhood made me realize I can be the softest and most terrifying version of myself at the exact same fu***ng time.

I can kiss foreheads, wipe tears, smooth their hair and whisper goodnight like there isn’t another woman living inside me who would absolutely lose her s**t if somebody hurt them.

And I think that’s one of the wildest parts of loving your kids.

They somehow make you softer than you’ve ever been while simultaneously giving you something you’d fight like hell to protect.

The tenderness doesn’t make us less fierce.
It’s the whole damn reason we are.

The lioness and the mother. 🖤

Both live here.

Motherhood has a f**ked up way of making you think about parts of life you’d rather pretend aren’t coming.

When I gave my child a sibling, I thought about the obvious s**t. Someone to play with. Someone to fight with. Someone beside them in the backseat, on Christmas mornings and through all the chaos of growing up.

I wasn’t thinking about 30. Or 50. Or 70.

I wasn’t thinking about the day their dad and I aren’t sitting at the table anymore.

But now I do.

Because friends will come into their lives. Maybe partners will become family. They’ll build entire worlds that have nothing to do with me.

But there’s something incredibly special about having another person who can say, “I remember that too.”

Someone who remembers where you started.

I can’t promise my kids will always be close. That part belongs to them.

But holy s**t, I hope they realize someday that I didn’t just give them someone to grow up beside.

I gave them the chance to have someone to grow old beside too. 🖤

Motherhood is fu***ng weird because you spend so much of it thinking you have more time.

Another weekend. Another summer. Another Christmas morning where they come running into your room. Another night they ask you to stay beside them a little longer.

And of course, they don’t stop being our babies at 12. 🖤

But somewhere around those years, their world starts getting bigger.

Friends. Plans. Privacy. Independence. A whole life beginning to form outside of us.

And that’s exactly what we’re raising them to do.

But f**k, it makes me want to stop treating these ordinary years like they’re unlimited.

I don’t need to make every day magical. I just want to actually fu***ng be here for the days I get.

Because I’ll get to love them for the rest of my life.

I just won’t always get to love them like this. 🖤

Motherhood has a funny way of showing you just how much of your energy you were wasting on s**t that never actually mattered.

I used to overthink everything. Did I upset someone? Did I say the wrong thing? Should I explain myself? Should I make more effort?

Now? 😂

I have a whole fu***ng life happening over here.

People I love. Kids who are growing way too fast. A home that needs me actually present in it not mentally sitting in somebody else’s group chat wondering what they’re saying about me.

So I’ve stopped auditioning for roles in other people’s lives.

I already have the fu***ng role that matters most to me. 🖤
