We look forward to hosting you at our B&B, event, workshop or Airbnb Experience.

After a decade, the end of having a work/sewing room has come. I know I've been luckier than most to have had a dedicated craft space, so I'm trying not to be sad. Instead, I am feeling grateful that we have a space where we can put a first-floor bedroom and bathroom so we can stay here.

Rocky and I are both from away. In the Maritimes, if you weren’t born here, you are (and will always be) from away. Both of us have relocated from Ontario, where we have lots of family and friends that come to visit us on Isle Madame in Cape Breton (and keep coming back.) So, even if it's a little rough around the edges, we like to share the two spare rooms in our rustic century farmhouse. Located on 100 acres of field, forest and garden, you can't see it, but you can hear and smell the Atlantic ocean less than a 1000m away in three directions.
The house isn't exactly magazine worthy but it's cozy, clean and comfortable. You won't be afraid to use the shower, even if it is blue patterned tile board! The house and property is a labour of love for us but we understand that bare plywood floors and ongoing drywall repairs aren't for everyone. We like to think that what we lack in polish, we make up for in hospitality.
In addition to Airbnb guest rooms, we’ve built some Airbnb Experiences that align with our favourite activities. Seasonally we offer lobster suppers, wreath making workshops, beach boils and back yard bonfires.
After the success of daughter’s wedding being moved to the barn at the last minute thanks to hurricane Dorian, look soon for some events in the barn.
There’s always something new going on so check back often and join us soon. Bruce and Fynn, our friendly Labrador Retrievers join us in welcoming you.
