John Frog & Mapia: The Truth Behind the Money Claims?

For the fans of John Frog and Mapia, it’s never news where their money really comes from! The two artists have once again sparked conversations after posing in a photo with their alleged sponsor, yet boldly claiming that their wealth comes from music. But let’s be honest is that really the case?

In the entertainment scene, many artists love to flaunt their riches, but few are willing to be transparent about how they actually make their money. While John Frog and Mapia continue to insist that their success is purely from their music, fans are not entirely convinced.

The Reality of the Music Industry

Let’s face it, South Sudan’s music industry is still growing, and while some artists manage to secure decent earnings from shows and endorsements, it’s not yet at the level where musicians are making extravagant amounts solely from their craft. This raises the question: Why do some artists feel the need to create false narratives?

Instead of embracing the truth, many prefer to paint a picture of overnight success, making it seem like music alone is funding their flashy lifestyles. But fans aren’t blind they see what’s really happening behind the scenes.

Honesty Over Hype

The biggest challenge facing many South Sudanese artists is the fear of being real. There’s no shame in admitting that support comes from sponsors, side businesses, or other investments. In fact, transparency could actually inspire younger talents to work smarter instead of chasing illusions of instant fame and wealth.

At the end of the day, the industry thrives on credibility and talent, not just hype. Whether John Frog and Mapia choose to admit the truth or keep up the act, fans will always know what’s real and what’s staged.

Wani Igga Breaks Silence on Removal, Says It’s Just Politics

Former Vice President James Wani Igga has spoken out after his removal from the Economic Cluster, calling it a routine government decision. He insists that President Salva Kiir was simply exercising his constitutional powers and that reshuffles are nothing new in politics.

Now appointed as SPLM Secretary General Designate, Igga dismissed circulating social media rumors, urging the public not to fall for divisive narratives. He remains SPLM 1st Deputy Chairman and assured that an official statement will come once the party leadership meets.

His former position in the Economic Cluster now belongs to Benjamin Bol Mel, following the recent reshuffle.

SSPDF looses 4 servicemen

The SSPDF command/ leadership would like to inform own rank and file and the public at large that four of its dedicated servicemen paid the ultimate in defence of Nasir town, Nasir County, Upper Nile State.

On Valentine's Day, at 3PM, three servicemen left thier defensive trenches to collect firewood. Just about 600 metres away, they were attacked and pursued. The attack resulted in killing of an officer.

A second daring attack was launched two hours later and a 3rd today at dawn, February 15th, 2025.
The three unprovoked consecutive attacks resulted in the martyrdom of four servicemen and wounding of three others.

The bottomline of recurrent attacks on SSPDF defensive position at Wei-Yar-Adiu emanates from SPLA-IO's constant instigation of armed youth to maintain hostile and offensive posture aimed at curtailing servicemen's freedom of movement both when on and off duty.

The situation has been compounded by appointment of successive hostile SPLA-IO commissioners of Nasir County along with equally unfriendly governor of Upper Nile State.

Both SPLA-IO command and political leaders had shown a track record of lawlessness and chaos.

In the face of continous hostility, SSPDF remains committed to the full implementation of R-ARCSS in general and transitional security arrangements in particular.

On the same note, SSPDF calls upon CTSSAM to investigate SPLA-IO's latest violations of the agreement in its governed states of Upper Nile, Western Equatoria and Western Bahr El Ghazal.

President Kiir’s Press Secretary Calls for Calm Amidst Recent Violence

Lily Adhieu, the press secretary for President Salva Kiir, has strongly condemned the recent killings of South Sudanese civilians by Sudanese armed forces, labeling these acts as “barbaric” and unacceptable.

In a heartfelt statement issued on behalf of the president, Adhieu reassured citizens that the government is taking **swift and decisive action** to address this tragic situation. She urged South Sudanese to remain calm and to refrain from retaliating against Sudanese traders and refugees residing within the country.

“These individuals are seeking safety and refuge from violence, and it is our moral obligation to offer them protection and support,” Adhieu stated. She emphasized the need for citizens to trust in the government’s diplomatic efforts to resolve these tensions peacefully.

Adhieu highlighted the critical importance of **unity, restraint, and compassion** during this challenging time. She cautioned that any retaliatory actions could further escalate tensions and harm the very fabric of our society.

“Let us stand together in solidarity, demonstrating our strength through compassion rather than conflict,” she urged, reminding citizens that the path to peace lies in understanding and cooperation.

The inhumane acts perpetrated by the Sudanese army soldiers against the people of South Sudan are intolerable and must be addressed with urgency. The South Sudanese government must prioritize the protection of its citizens and demand accountability from those responsible for these atrocities. Silence in the face of such violations is complicity; it is time for decisive action and a commitment to uphold human rights for all.
