How are jet engines so powerful?
A jet engine is a machine that converts energy-rich, liquid fuel into a powerful pushing force called thrust.

The thrust from one or more engines pushes a plane forward, forcing air past its scientifically shaped wings to create an upward force called lift that powers it into the sky.

A jet engine works by sucking in a large amount of air, compressing it, mixing it with fuel, igniting it, and expelling it as a hot and fast jet of gas. This process is known as the Brayton cycle.

A jet engine is different from a piston engine, which is used in cars and some older planes.

A piston engine makes power by burning fuel and air in cylinders, where pistons move back and forth to drive a crankshaft.

A piston engine makes power only during one of the four steps of its cycle (intake, compression, combustion, exhaust), and its power is limited by the size and number of its cylinders and pistons.

A jet engine is more powerful because it can burn more fuel and air in a continuous cycle, and its power is limited only by the amount of air and fuel it can intake and the speed of its exhaust.

A jet engine can intake huge amounts of air by using a large fan at the front that spins around to suck air into the engine as the plane flies through the sky.

A jet engine can burn vast amounts of fuel by using a compressor that squeezes the air into a small space, raising its pressure and temperature.

A jet engine can exhaust hot and fast gas by using a turbine that extracts some of the energy from the expanding gas to power the fan and the compressor, and a nozzle that accelerates the remaining gas to create thrust.

The Air India plane crash.
To some, just another breaking news story.
To me, it was a soul-stirring reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life really is.

Four lives. Four stories. Four powerful lessons that changed how I see time, purpose, and the grace of each moment.

First: A family who had waited years to fulfill their dream of migrating to the UK.
Life kept getting in the way, responsibilities, delays, decisions.
They finally made it onto the plane… but never reached their destination

And I realized:
We carry so many plans for “someday.” But if we keep waiting, someday becomes never.

Second: A woman who was supposed to be on that flight. She arrived late. Missed the check-in. Pleaded to get on board but was denied. She was frustrated, angry, defeated. Only to later realize: that delay was divine protection.

We don’t always get what we want, because God sees what we cannot.
Sometimes, His “no” is what keeps us alive.

Third: A man who survived.
The plane split in half and he happened to be in the section that didn’t catch fire.
He walked away, dazed and alive, from something no one thought survivable.

It wasn’t luck. It was purpose. And I was reminded of the verse: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1

It simply wasn’t his time.

Fourth: And then those who didn’t make it. People with dreams. People with families. People with unfinished stories.
They kissed someone goodbye that morning… not knowing it was the last time.

Their lives remind us that time is not guaranteed. We’re not promised old age. We’re not promised later. What we have is now. A breath. A heartbeat. A chance.

So while you still have today..
While you’re still breathing, still strong, still able, don’t waste it. Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment.

Love now. Apologize now. Forgive now. Dream now. Speak now.

Because life doesn’t always come with warnings. And sometimes… “next time” never comes.

Cheating is not only having s*x with another person who is not your wife/husband, it also includes:

1. Receiving money from a man without the knowledge of your husband

2. Giving money to a woman without the knowledge of your wife.

3. Sharing s*x jokes with a person who is not your spouse

4. Deleting messages which you dont want your spouse to read

5. Avoiding answering a call from that other in presence of your spouse or stepping aside to answer that call

6. Avoiding answering a call from a spouse when that other person is around or stepping aside to answer that call.

7. Saving contacts of those other persons with different names so that your spouse fails to recognise

8. Lying about your location to your spouse when you are with that other person or vice versa
