HULING ALON 😭
On a small island in the Philippines, there's a young lady named Andi. She grew up in the city, accustomed to the noise of Manila and the luxurious life it brought. But despite her luxury, she was seeking something money can’t buy—peace and true happiness.
One day, she stumbled upon Siargao, a paradise of waves and vast sands. That's where he met Filmar, a local surfer who seemed to be part of the ocean. Her skin was brown, the sun was obviously sunburnt, and her eyes were full of life whenever she saw the waves.
It's just the first time I saw, Andi felt something pulling towards Filmar. It's not like the guys she met in the city—no stain of arrogance, no pursuit of wealth. For Filmar, the waves, the sun, and the simple island life are enough.
With each passing day, Andi is slowly learning about island life. Filmar taught him how to ride the waves, how to balance, and most of all, how to let life flow without forcing. In the middle of the sea, as they hold hands on the surfboard, that's when she realized—this is real life, this is real love.
But everything is not easy. The time has come when Andi had to go back to town. He wanted to stay, but he was left with family and responsibilities. "I'll be back," he promised Filmar.
Months go by, and even apart, they keep exchanging messages. But the heartbeat of an island man is different than a city man. Little by little there was a space between them.
One day, Andi went back to Siargao. He searched for Filmar at their favorite beach, but couldn't find it. She sat in the sand, listening to the sea, hoping to see the man who taught her how to love again.
Until she hears a familiar voice in the background. "I thought you'd never come back," Filmar said, with a smile filled with longing.
Andi stood up, looked at the man she loved. "I can't help but go back," he replied.
And beneath the setting sun, as the waves danced around them, they hugged.
Because true love, like the waves, always return to the shore where it truly belongs.
