After months of planning: www.friendsoffranzpod.com is now finally live! ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป

As you all know, Friends of Franz Podcast is a space where we can learn the most interesting topics within healthcare and the different domains and disciplines surrounding it from field experts that I personally trust and admire. I have always wanted to create an online library of our episodesโ€™ expert guests to highlight their works and achievements. Itโ€™s a one-stop-shop glossary (with no purchases needed ๐Ÿ™ˆ) to learn about the stories of the people behind your favorite Friends of Franz episode!

According to , the first CCUs rose in the 1960s to manage heart attacks. Today, cardiac ICUs, both medical and surgical, provide intensive care to a breadth of fatalities, ranging from arrest to post-open heart surgeries. The CVICU is seen to be a home for a "special breed" of nurses with its required list of complex skillsets, such as the titration of vasopressors drips and management of life support and assistive devices (e.g., LVAD, ECMO, IABP, CVVH).
