India is conducting a nationwide civil defence mock drill on May 7, 2025, across 244 districts. This exercise aims to assess and enhance the country's readiness in responding to emergencies and hostile attacks.

Air Raid Warning Sirens:- Testing of air raid warning systems to simulate real-time threats and educate the public on recognizing alerts.
Civilian Training :-Hands-on sessions to teach civilians how to respond during emergencies, including duck-and-cover techniques, first aid basics, and stress management.
Crash Blackout Measures Implementation of sudden power cuts to mimic wartime blackout conditions, reducing visibility during nighttime airstrikes.
Evacuation Drills:- Rehearsal of updated evacuation plans to ensure coordination and swift response in emergencies.
Camouflage Exercises :-Concealment tests for critical infrastructure, such as power plants and military bases, to protect against aerial or satellite detection.

Pakistan's tanks were captured by the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, specifically in the Battle of Asal Uttar.
The Battle of Asal Uttar is considered one of the greatest tank battles since World War II. It showcased the strategic brilliance of the Indian Army and the bravery of its soldiers. The battle led to the creation of "Patton Nagar" or "Patton City" due to the large number of Patton tanks left behind.

A recent terror attack occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where terrorists targeted tourists, resulting in the deaths of at least 26 people, mostly tourists, injuring several others. The attack took place in the Baisaran valley, also known as "Mini Switzerland," around 3 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
