This shoot for Ixtapa was a dream👌 all natural light poured in from a massive skylight, casting the perfect glow on every sizzling plate and gleaming glass, meaning I didn’t need to set up any lights.

Shot for a local publication, the goal was to capture not just the food, but the feeling of dining here: vibrant, warm, crave worthy.

This is the kind of work every restaurant deserves. Not just pictures of food, but images that show off the heart of the place.

5 Elements of a Thumb-Pausing Product Photo

1️⃣ Lighting: Natural light can be soft + dreamy or moody + bold depending on shadows. Studio lights (like softboxes or LEDs) add control + consistency. I use both to match your brand’s vibe or a specific vision (I.e. fun, bold, techy)

2️⃣ Color Palette: Too many colors = distraction. A minimal, intentional palette keeps your product center stage.

3️⃣ Angles: Top-down? Straight-on? 45? I use angles that highlight shape, texture, and create visual flow that draws eyes right to your product.

4️⃣ Styling: Props should enhance the product, not distract. Every item — from props to fabrics — is chosen to support the spotlight, not steal it.

5️⃣ Editing: Clean, crisp edits that keep your product looking real but polished. No filters — just pro finishing touches.
