As part of my commitment to building capacity for future endeavors, I had the opportunity to attend the Young Advocates Training Program organized by the Alswel Inspired Foundation at the Africa Trade House in Accra, and it was absolutely worth every moment.
The program brought together some of the most seasoned and inspiring speakers such as Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah (Esq), Andy Owusu (Esq), a Public Service Director from the UK, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso I, Nikki Samonas, and others.
Hon. Oppong Nkrumah and the other speakers delivered powerful and practical insights on how young people can create meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. He emphasized the importance of volunteerism, service, and continuous personal growth. One key takeaway he shared was a personal guiding principle summarized in the mnemonic I DIE:
I for Integrity
D for Diligence
I for Industry
E for Excellence
These, he explained, are foundational values for anyone seeking to live a purposeful and impactful life.
A recurring message that struck a chord with me was the reminder not to leave God and prayer out of any journey. Every speaker, in their own way, echoed this profound truth.
With all the wisdom and inspiration I received, I am more confident than ever in my readiness to take on responsibilities in health, business, marketing, leadership, and other fields. I left the conference not only encouraged, but empowered.
This has truly been one of the most inspiring and rewarding events I have been a part of. I am deeply grateful.
Special thanks to Mr. Alswel Annan and the for their outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to empowering the next generation.
