Bangladesh Probes Huge Fire At World’s Largest Refugee Camp
Authorities are investigating an enormous fire that tore through the Rohingya refugee camp, rendering some 12,000 people without shelter, with arson a possibility after one suspect was detained.
No casualties have been officially reported, but at least 35 mosques and 21 learning centers were destroyed before the blaze was extinguished after raging for three hours.
Over the previous two calendar years, 222 fires were reported at the Rohingya camp, with 60 cases declared arson, according to Bangladeshi officials.
