Dalawang katao ang nasawi sa naganap na pang-aagaw ng baril pasado alas-12:00 ng tanghali, Hunyo 27, 2025, sa Barangay Poblacion, Lungsod ng Danao, hilagang bahagi ng Probinsya ng Cebu.Ang nasawing suspek ay hindi pa natutukoy ang pangalan ng Danao City Police Station, habang ang nasawing pulis ay nakilala bilang si Patrolman Mark Ornopia, na naka-duty sa korte na malapit sa pinangyarihan.Ayon sa nakuhang impormasyon, ang suspek, na hindi pa natutukoy ang mga detalye sa mga oras na ito, ay umano'y nang-agaw ng baril mula sa isang guwardiyang naka-duty sa 7-Eleven na matatagpuan sa Barangay Poblacion ng nabanggit na lungsod.Nang mangyari ang pang-aagaw ng baril mula sa guwardiya, nagkagulo at nagtakbuhan ang mga tao sa paligid.Ang isang miyembro ng BJMP na tumugon ay may hinintay na PDL (person deprived of liberty) na may court appearance sa korte.Samantala, ang pulis na si Ornopia, na naka-duty rin sa korte, kasama ang miyembro ng BJMP, ay hinintay ng tulong ng mga tumakas na tao nang maganap ang pang-aagaw ng baril.Agad na tumakbo ang pulis at ang miyembro ng BJMP upang tumugon, ngunit pagdating sa lugar, ang suspek ang unang bumaril at tinamaan ang pulis sa noo, na nagresulta sa pagkamatay nito.Ang miyembro ng BJMP ang bumaril sa suspek matapos makitang bumagsak na si Ornopia, at napatay rin ang suspek.

Inaatake na ng Iran ang mga bansa na may US bases. They have started with Qatar in the Middle East.

Aside from Japan and Korea and US territory Guam—rich countries who are at least able to defend themselves if it comes to that—only the Philippines has permanent major US bases in East/Southeast Asia.

Iran has just attacked the US base in Qatar with missiles, and there are stories circulating that Iran might attack all US bases to retaliate against US military action.

I think kung pwede lang naman, it’s time our country openly declares we are neutral and mag initiate na tayo to dismantle or close or remove the US bases.

Please ask the DFA, but as far as historical precedence, nagawa ni PRRD to unilaterally terminate via notice the VFA in 2020.

All you need to do is suspend EDCA implementation via executive order. It won’t immediately remove bases but it sends a strong message to the world.

We can issue a formal notice to the US, initiating the termination countdown. In 180 days wala na. Sana in 180 days buhay pa ang world.

We can have the senate fast track a resolution of non support.

We can also, if hindi tayo tuta, declare to the world that the PH is pursuing an independent, non-aligned foreign policy, and that hosting foreign bases puts Filipinos at risk.

We can use this to justify base withdrawal without being hostile to the U.S.

Sir, Executive suspension takes effect within 24 hours. Diplomatic notice to terminate vfa within 180 days. Senate resolution 1 week.

An executive memorandum will not dissolve the bases ASAP but at least alam nila where we stand. It will stop any construction, base use and rotation asap.

Senate resolution will also send signal to the world that the Filipino public does not support the US bases so that we should not be targeted.

Mas urgent Ito kesa yung impeachment. Kasi patay na tayo lahat pag di nyo Ito ayusin habang may time.

Bilisan nyo na marami pa kaming pangarap sa buhay.

The impeachment is about 125M of CONFIDENTIAL funds while the bribery is 150 million x 215 congressmen = more than 32 BILLION.

Why would you spend more than “32BILLION” just to impeach someone? This is clearly POLITICIZING and mishandling of our taxes.
