“He likes it when the sky is blue, and he’s even happier when there aren’t any clouds,” an unnamed narrator explains of her husband in Ariana Harwicz’s novel “Die, My Love.” In the film adaptation, that husband—Jackson—is played by Robert Pattinson, who approaches the role with a measured, empathetic performance.

Pattinson admits he wasn’t particularly fond of Jackson on the page (“He’s just totally and utterly useless”), but the film expands and strengthens the character so he isn’t merely reacting to Grace’s unraveling. “It was kind of nice how the story we’re telling organically evolved into more of a relationship,” he tells V.

In “Die My Love,” Jennifer Lawrence delivers a performance as intense and unflinching as her turn in Darren Aronofsky’s “mother!” This time, she plays Grace, a writer unraveling under the weight of postpartum depression and psychosis after the birth of her first child. Filming while in her second trimester of her own pregnancy, Lawrence admits she couldn’t help but measure her instincts as a mother against those of her character. “I really struggled with, again, my opposite instincts in trying not to compare what I would do to what Grace would do. It’s 100 times harder when you do have your own parenting instincts.” she tells V.

In a tête-à-tête with co-star Robert Pattinson and V’s , Lawrence opens up about how the characters evolved from script to screen, finding balance between motherhood and performance, and why the release of “Die My Love”—even after years in Hollywood—still triggered intense anxiety.

For Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson—who, surprisingly, had never worked together before “Die My Love,” despite the many overlaps in their careers—their strongest point of connection came from something deeply personal: they were both new parents. That shared experience created an instant foundation of trust, especially when filming the film’s more intimate and unrestrained scenes.

"When [we] had to do these crazy, n**e, attacking each other like tigers scenes, there was some sort of added level of trust. Rob is sensationally smart and really sweet," Lawrence tells V for our V157 cover story.

The actors, noting how often their conversations drifted back to parenting, reveal that Lawrence personally asked Pattinson if he wanted to play her husband, and that—when comparing their characters’ parenting style to their own—they both felt “like a great parent” after finishing filming. MAD LOVE! Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson cover our V157 Winter 2025 issue—captured by .

In director Lynne Ramsay’s new psychological thriller “Die My Love,” now in theaters, the all-star duo unravels the quiet terrors of “domestic bliss.” Lawrence delivers a searing performance as Grace, a mother consumed by postpartum turmoil after relocating to the countryside with her husband. Already being hailed as one of her finest turns, the role may well place her back in the awards conversation.

Opposite her, Pattinson offers a restrained yet deeply empathetic portrayal of Jackson, Grace’s husband—whose attempts to understand her gradual descent anchor the film in aching humanity. Together, they transform what should be an idyllic new beginning into a haunting meditation on love, isolation, and mental collapse.

Welcome to ’s new era. The Puerto Rican rapper is gearing up to release her sophomore album, "Do Not Disturb," this Friday, November 7. Capping off a whirlwind year, she’s also set to headline her first-ever concert at the legendary Coliseo de Puerto Rico this December—a full-circle moment for the Añasco-born artist, celebrating her remarkable rise from local phenom to global powerhouse. “I’ve dreamt about having my own show en el Coliseo de Puerto Rico my whole life,” she tells V.

If you were to ask whether she ever imagined ending up where she is today, the answer would be quite simple: “I don’t think I could be doing anything else. I don’t think I was ever going to give up.”

From walking the catwalks for major fashion houses to entering the brat-osphere alongside Charli xcx (“I think I was meant for the Brat era.”), and starring in ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’—the fourth installment of the cult franchise—Gabbriette continues to prove what happens when you refuse to settle for anything less than your vision.

Gabbriette stars in a film noir fantasy for our new V157 Winter 2025 Issue—photographed by Steven Klein and styled by Patti Wilson!

What does modern glamour look like today? It’s dangerous. Decadent. Daring. In a word: Gabbriette. She’s the name on everyone’s lips, and on everyone’s Instagram feed, with a face you simply can’t scroll past. The musician-turned-model-turned-scream-queen-in-the-making sits down with Dita Von Teese to explore the timeless allure of Old Hollywood and how both women channel the unapologetic, femme-fatale energy of cinema’s golden age heroines.
