I have spent 31 years in Nollywood and no man, producer or director, has ever seen my nakedness. I entered the industry as a 20-year-old girl, young, full of dreams, and very beautiful. The temptations were everywhere, but my upbringing guided me. I didn’t bend, I didn’t give in, not even once.

Many men in the industry made advances at me, and one director even told me I wouldn’t go far because I refused to sleep with him. I returned his script with a heavy heart but a clear conscience. I told him I would go far by the grace of God, and today, I’m still standing strong.

I held my dignity close, even when it hurt. Even when it cost me roles. But I never let go of my self-respect.
