UK England , a decade after the tragic deaths of a Pakistani-origin family, the case remains unsolved. Investigators working on the murders of Dr. Akhtar Abdul Shakoor's wife, Dr. Sabah Usmani, and their five children, continue to face numerous unanswered questions. In 2012, the family perished in a fire at their Harlow home. Dr. Usmani, along with their children—12-year-old Hira, 9-year-old Muneeb, and 6-year-old Rayyan—lost their lives in the blaze. The fire began on the ground floor of the Barnmead residence while the family rested upstairs. Dr. Shakoor attempted to escape by jumping out of the window to seek help, but he was unable to save them and suffered from smoke inhalation, which worsened his condition. Authorities suspect the fire was intentionally set by burglars.
Dr. Shakoor's laptop, which had a two-pin plug, was taken from the home and has never been recovered. The police are eager to trace its whereabouts. Additionally, a handwritten note regarding the fire was found in a local store in Harlow, and authorities would like to speak with the person who wrote it. A few days after the tragedy, an anonymous caller contacted Essex Police about the fire, and investigators are seeking to identify the caller.
It is highly unusual for a house to be set on fire following a burglary, and there are still several unresolved aspects of the case. Unfortunately, this has left the case unsolved. After the incident, Dr. Shakoor relocated to Pakistan.
