A homeless man sat stranded, his electric wheelchair dead. He couldn’t take a step, and no one could move the heavy chair.

That’s when Officer Matt Krueger showed up.

Instead of walking away, he put his hands on the back of the powerless chair and pushed — block after block, under the sun, through intersections. Seven long blocks later, he delivered the man to shelter, food, and safety.

Along the way, frustration turned into smiles, and a quiet friendship was formed. A passerby snapped photos, and Officer Krueger himself captured a selfie — not for recognition, but as a memory of what compassion can look like in uniform.

Seven blocks. One act of kindness. A reminder that true service isn’t just about enforcing laws — it’s about walking beside someone when they can’t move forward alone.
