I’ve been told mirror selfies are cringe but I don’t personally see why, so here’s a bunch in a row.
Throughout my whole life I’ve spent so much time trying to fit the mold in order to have friends and not really understanding how or why it’s so difficult and exhausting to do.
I’ve finally begun to learn to be myself. It may seem unorthodox, but placing a camera in front of my face and filming myself taught me to be more comfortable. Posting myself all over the internet and receiving positive feedback from it made it easier for me to go out into the real world and be fully myself there as well.
So the importance of this recent growth is more personal to me. I still don’t think that these numbers matter at all when it comes to how we should see and interact with others. We are all equal, some of us just learned to be comfortable in front of a camera. Anyone could grow at any time.
But it is important to me that this amount of people have accepted me as someone they actively want to see more of. Maybe I can stop hiding.
