HOUSE OPENING CEREMONY HELD AT Ratomatey Thangshing UNDER SIKKIM GARIB AWAS YOJANA (SGAY)

Ratomatey Thangshing, Hee-Martam Block: A grand house opening ceremony was held at Ratomatey Thangshing, marking a new beginning for Laxuman Kami residence.
The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Area MLA Shriman LN Nepal, Sikkim Milk Union Chairman YK Mishra, OSD to Fisheries Dept Sanbir Limboo, Zilla Panchayat Khusendra Gurung, Panchayat President Ganesh Pd Sharma, and Panchayat members.

The beneficiary families expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon'ble Chief Minister Shriman Prem Singh Tamang Golay and Area MLA Loknath Sharma for their support. Area MLA Shriman LN Nepal congratulated the beneficiary families and wished them a bright future ahead.

क्षेत्र विधायक तथा सल्लाहकार लोकनाथ शर्मा रहेको थियो मुख्य अतिथि।

सिक्किमव्यापी चलिरहेको च्यादर वितरण कार्यक्रम अन्तर्गत गेजिङ बर्मेक समष्टीको हि-मार्तम खण्ड प्रशासनिक केन्द्रको परिसरमा पनि व्यापक च्यादर वितरण कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भयो। यस अवसरमा क्षेत्र विधायक तथा सल्लाहकार लोकनाथ शर्मा मुख्य अतिथिको रुपमा उपस्थित थिए भने साथमा सिक्किम दुग्ध संघ अध्यक्ष याम कुमार मिश्रा, नवनियुक्त बिषेश कर्तव्य अधिकारी शन्वीर सुब्बा र इन्द्र कला छेत्री, नवनियुक्त समष्टी स्तरीय अध्यक्ष कमल तामाङ, खण्ड बिकास अधिकारी कैलाश गुरुङ, जिल्ला पञ्चायत द्वय खुशेन्द्र गुरुङ र राजकुमार राई, ग्राम पञ्चायतगण, लाभार्थीगण र अन्यको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।।

कार्यक्रममा खण्ड बिकास अधिकारी कैलाश गुरुङले स्वागत सम्भाषणम् तथा कार्यक्रमको औचित्य बारे सम्क्षिप्तमा जानकारी गराउँदै च्यादर वितरण गर्दा हतार नगरि पालैपालो गरिदिने आग्रह पनि गरे।

*Lower Bermiok Secondary School Unites for 79th Independence Day Celebrations*

A meeting was held at Lower Bermiok Secondary School to prepare for the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebrations, bringing together esteemed dignitaries, including the Hon'ble Sikkim Milk Union Chairman shri YK Sharma,Zilla Panchayat members, SMDC members, Panchayat representatives, Head masters from nearby schools and alumni members.

Under the guidance of Hon'ble Area MLA Shriman LN Nepal, Mr. YK Sharma led the discussion on celebration plans and committee formation, ensuring a grand and memorable event.
The gathering also inspected the school grounds, taking stock of the facilities and envisioning a spectacular celebration.

The public warmly welcomed Mr. DP Sharma, the newly appointed Headmaster, expressing enthusiasm for his leadership and vision for the school.

Kameray Model Village in Pakyoung, Sikkim, celebrated the grand inauguration of Kamarey Haat Bazar, attended by esteemed dignitaries including Shri TT Bhutia, Hon'ble Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Department,Shri Puran Kumar Gurung, Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, and Veterinary Services and Shri LN Nepal, Hon'ble MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok Constituency.
Other notable attendees included Shri Bishnu Khatiwada (Bara), Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister; Shri YK Mishra, Hon'ble Chairman of Sikkim Milk Union; Smt Prabha Pradhan, Zilla Upadakshya of Pakyoung District; and Shri Urgen Lepcha, CA to the Hon'ble Chief Minister. The ceremony was also attended by Shri DB Chettri, OSD to Area MLA; Shri Boom Tshering Tamang, OSD, IPR Department; Shri PP Sharma, OSD, Agriculture Department; and Shri Robin Sewa, ADC Development, Pakyoung, along with BDOs, Zilla Panchayats, Panchayats, and villagers.

During the event, Kameray Model Village unveiled its own flag and released a song, crafted with the help of renowned director Shri Chunilal Ghimeray and sponsored by Shri YK Sharma. This grand inauguration marked a significant milestone in the villages development journey.

Sikkim Agriculture Department Organizes Training-cum-Distribution Programme for Micro Irrigation Sets.

The Agriculture Department, Government of Sikkim, recently conducted a one-day training-cum-distribution programme for micro irrigation sets (drip/sprinkler irrigation) under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) Phase 3. The programme was held at Bermiok Berthang cluster in Hee Martam block.

The event took place in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Sikkim Milk Union Chairman, Shri YK Sharma, along with other dignitaries, including Bermiok Berthang Zilla Panchayat, Panchayat President, Panchayat members, Additional Director Karma Sherpa, Deputy Director Agriculture Shri Suraj Chettri, CLC President Sanbir Limboo.

The programme aimed to promote efficient water use and increase crop productivity through the adoption of micro irrigation systems. The theme "Per Drop More Crop" emphasizes the importance of maximizing crop yield while minimizing water consumption.

A total of 310 micro irrigation sets were distributed to farmers in the following areas:

- Upper Bermiok: 54
- Upper Berthang: 59
- Lower Berthang: 21
- Ratomatey Thangshing: 53
- Sumbok 13th Mile: 53
- Daragoan: 66
- Rafong: 1

The training-cum-distribution programme provided an opportunity for farmers to learn about the benefits and proper use of micro irrigation systems, which can significantly improve agricultural productivity and water conservation. The distribution of micro irrigation sets under PMKSY Phase 3 will enable farmers to adopt modern irrigation techniques, leading to increased crop yields and improved livelihoods.
