Mee was wealthy owner and publisher of Classique magazine, a celebrity and entertainment journal that is today moribund.

Seated to extreme right of this photo is her husband and celebrity actor Richard Mofe Damijo.

She hosted a television talk show Mee and You on NTA 2 channel 5, Lagos. She also produced the TV show.

She was born in Ghana in 1956 and died in 1996 at the age of 39.

Mee sharpened her journalism skill while she was working for the Sunday Concord under the tutelage of Dele Giwa who incidentally, died at the same age of 39 this time via letter bomb at his Adeniyi Jones home.

Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, the Chinese firm that seized Nigeria’s presidential jets has released one.

“It (Zhongshan) has now been made aware that an Airbus A330, currently detained in France as a result of a French court order obtained by Zhongshan, is needed for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to travel to a scheduled meeting with President Macron of France early next week.

“As a gesture of goodwill, Zhongshan has lifted the seizure of that aircraft immediately. This will allow it to be used for the President’s trip.

“Zhongshan remains committed to talks with representatives of the Federal Government of Nigeria, this time serious and substantive on both sides, with a view to reaching a reasonable compromise settlement rapidly.”
Zhongshan, a Chinese firm had secured a court order to confiscate three Nigerian presidential jets pending when Zhongshan receives $74.5 million awarded to it against Nigeria.

The spokesperson of the company who made this known on Friday said, the company released the aircraft because President Bola Tinubu would need it to travel to a scheduled meeting with President Macron of France early next week.

“Zhongshan has consistently sought to act reasonably and fairly in the course of a legal dispute with Nigeria which was not of its making,” the official told Premium Times Friday afternoon.

Just like I have told you several times, I am not in any competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my efforts in the group that we both created and built together really speaks volumes. In your recent interviews, you claimed that you wrote and sang 99% of all P-SQUARE songs and discredited me by saying that our song with TI "EjeaJo," which I wrote, was a failure. You went as far as using the YouTube views to discredit me once again.
You never acknowledged the other songs like "Get-Squared," "Bizzy Body," "Personally," "Roll It," "Temptation," "Alingo," "More than a Friend," "Shekini," "Say Your Love," "Gimme Dat," "Senorita," "IGBEdu," and a few others. Were these songs also considered failures as well?

Every time I have spoken in interviews about P-SQUARE, I have always used "we" and "us" because I saw us as a team. But whenever you speak, it’s always "I" and "me," even when I’m standing right beside you. It’s as if I never existed.
My brother, neither of us is the most talented artist in the world, but you fail to understand that God gave us this talent and even granted us another chance to excel after our last breakup. Instead, you chose to turn the most awarded and decorated music group in Africa into a laughingstock again.

One thing you need to understand clearly is that the fans didn’t fall in love with P-SQUARE because of who sang or danced the most. What made us special was the magic that came from our combined effort - us two! P-SQUARE was a force, and the fans fell in love with P-SQUARE because of our uniqueness and unity. We both have talent, no doubt, and I have often praised you in our interviews for your songwriting ability. I have also praised anyone who has ever written a song for us or even for me as Mr. P. But instead of showing gratitude for my kind words, you seem to find satisfaction in rubbing it in my face, forgetting that it is by God’s grace that we have come this far.

Rather than joining forces with me to reclaim our number 1 spot in the music industry, you chose to team up with Jude to claim the number 1 spot in the P-SQUARE group, always looking for opportunities to marginalize and humiliate me.
You are always claiming to be P-SQUARE’s songwriter, composer, producer, singer, backup vocalist, in fact you are everything including P-SQUARE’s video director, band, promoter, manager, even the choreographer. You are the Author and Finisher of P-SQUARE! In fact, I dash you 100% of everything instead of the 99% you claim.
I blame myself for not responding to your tweet claims in April 2015 that you wrote and sang all of P-SQUARE’s songs. I didn’t respond to these false claims for the sake of peace, as advised by family and friends, and now I am paying dearly for it.
So, my brother, let me ask you: Is Rudeboy or Mr P bigger and more successful than P-SQUARE today? Are we individually selling out arenas and stadiums like P-SQUARE used to? Are we topping world music charts with our songs as solo artistes?

Do we command crowds and entertain massive audiences like P-SQUARE?
I often find myself wondering, what do you truly gain by constantly disrespecting and belittling me all the time. You have disrespected my wife, disrespected my family, disrespected my talent, disrespected my ideas, and even sided with Jude when he was clearly trying to oppress me. Now, it feels like you have taken it even further by trying so hard to turn the fans against me by making them believe I’m jealous of you.
You have been doing everything for the fans to hate me, but guess what? They will never hate me; instead, they will hate us both because we have disappointed and failed them.

Two astronauts may have to wait until 2025 to return from the International Space Station (ISS), NASA officials have announced.

The Boeing Starliner capsule, which sent them into orbit at the beginning of June, is currently unable to return them safely to Earth. The American agency could therefore call on Elon Musk and his company SpaceX, but if Starliner cannot make it back from the ISS, the duo could possibly return on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon in February 2025.

“We could take either path,” Ken Bowersox, the associate administrator for NASA’s space operations mission directorate, said. “And reasonable people could pick either path depending on where their view is on, on our position and the uncertainty bound that we have for the data that we’ve got on the thruster system, on the propulsion system.”

According to Fox16, Starliner launched its test crew mission on June 5, after a series of delays caused by leaks and thruster issues. This marked the first time the company launched a crewed mission to space.

While trying to dock at the ISS in June, five of the 28 thrusters went down. The mission was initially supposed to last about 8 days, but there is still no official return date for Wiliams and Wilmore after the issues.

NASA said that they have been in talks with SpaceX for them to leave two vacant seats on their upcoming Crew Dragon launch in September, setting them up for a possible return next year. NASA’s commercial crew program manager Steve Stich said the best option is still to return the astronauts on the Starliner.

“You know, our prime option is to return Butch and Suni on Starliner,” Stich said. “However, we have done the requisite planning to make sure we have other options open, and so we have been working with SpaceX to ensure that they’re ready to respond on Crew Nine for a contingency of returning a Butch and Suni on Crew Nine, if we need that.”

“We have set up the Dragon for Crew Nine to have flexibility, to have only two passengers fly up on that flight, and then we could return four crew members in the February 2025, timeframe,” he added.

A 30-year-old man, who miraculously survived a 244-day coma during which doctors wanted to harvest his organs, has now been k!lled by a pickup truck.

Drew Kohn was just days from his 23rd birthday in 2017 when he got into a motorcycle crash that sent him into a deep coma with a traumatic brain injury.

Miraculously, he woke up after eight months in a coma.

“They would have harvested his organs,” his mother, Yolanda Osborne-Kohn, told WTLV-TV News.

“It was because of my faith that gave me the boldness to speak up and push back and let them know, ‘You’re not getting a toenail or an eyelash.’”

She said her son was even brain-dead at one point, but she wouldn’t give up hope.

Drew was sent home, still in a coma — until his mom’s faith was miraculously rewarded.

He woke up one day and allegedly told his stunned mother, “Yeah, Mom, I’m OK. I love you, Mom.”

After years of gruelling rehab, Drew was dubbed a modern-day miracle when he began walking again.

Sadly, he was k!lled on Friday, July 26, 2024, when a pickup truck hit him while he was walking on Collins Road in Jacksonville around 5:30 a.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The driver, who told cops he hadn’t seen Drew, pulled over and called 911, but it was too late. He was pronounced de@d at the scene, WLTV-TV said.

Despite her heartache, Osborne-Kohn said she is grateful she had seven borrowed years with her son.

The family of the late former Chief Executive of e-commerce giant, Konga, Nick Imudia, has challenged reports claiming he died by su***de.

According to the Family, investigationweare still ongoing on the cause of his death as su***de had been ruled out.

Leadership reports that debunking news reports that Imudia had called his brother and daughter with instructions before his death, the family, in a statement signed by Dr. Anthony N. Imudia, said reportage of the news of the one-time Konga CEO’s death whilst the family was in the hospital trying to resuscitate him was suspicious.

“The family of Nick Imudia is unhappy with the unprofessional manner the media has wrongly characterised the reporting of Nick Imudia’s death as su***de. This is also supported by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office that has vowed to investigate the sudden death of Nick. Neither did Nick call his brother in America with instructions on how to distribute his wealth, nor placed a call to his daughter with any instructions.
How come the news was reported so hastilly (less than 3 hours from his death) before his family members even knew about it and the medical team was still trying to resuscitate him at the hospital! The Imudia family wonders!”

Stating that the former Konga CEO comes from a close-knit family where support abounds, the family added

“Nick never showed any sign of stress and he was not diagnosed as depressed at any point. The thought of su***de in the manner portrayed and hastilly reported by the news media is suspect. Nick Imudia, until his death was the Group CEO of D.light International with Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was residing. He managed the company’s worldwide operations from Nairobi. Nick was full of life and people that worked closely with him or met him in the last hours prior to the incident surrounding his death were shocked with the media attributing his death to ‘su***de’.
He was on a short visit to Lagos after a brief trip to the Netherlands and was to return to Nairobi a day after his sudden death. Nick made his initial career mark with Nokia, the Finnish based Telecommunications…

Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, has described Nigeria as a poor country with significant potential for wealth.

During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Oyedele pointed out that both the Federal Government’s and states’ budgets are relatively small when compared to those of some other countries and cities.

The Federal Government has faced criticism for what some perceive as over-taxation, with recent tax law protests in Kenya reigniting these discussions among Nigerians. However, Oyedele dismissed the idea of introducing more taxes as a solution to Nigeria’s revenue challenges. He emphasized that increasing taxes would not effectively address the country’s financial issues.

He said;

“By the way, the entire budget, that’s the Federal Government’s of about N29 trillion plus all the states in Nigeria about N15 trillion – if you add it all, it comes to about N44 trillion. That’s around $30 billion.

“That $30 billion is even less than the budget of Kenya which is around $32 billion. It is barely a quarter of South Africa’s budget at $130 billion. And of course, it’s even less than the budget of New York City, not even just New York State. So, clearly, Nigeria is a poor country with the potential to be a wealthy country.

“So, we do believe based on the analysis we have done and the data available to us that the right way to go is not to introduce more taxes. And in fact, if you’re going to raise the rates of any tax, it has to be something that we’re doing as a result of the consolidation and harmonisation.”

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one of Nigeria’s e-commerce giants, Konga, Nick Imudia, has reportedly died by su!cide.

ThisDay reports that Imudia took his life on Tuesday, June 25 by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki, Lagos state.

Before making the jump, he was said to have called his brother based in the United States to give instructions on how to distribute his wealth should anything happen to him. He was also said to have reached out to his young daughter from a previous relationship, telling her he would always be there for her and that she only needed to look in the sky to see him.

His friends, family, and associates have been thrown into mourning following the unfortunate incident.

Imudia, who hailed from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, was previously married to the mother of his young daughter, who is also from the same local government. The marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.

May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Fire engulfs Christ Embassy Headquarters in Lagos

The headquarters of the Christ Embassy Church, located in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State, reportedly caught fire on Sunday morning.

This was disclosed on an X page by a church member with the handle Bass_fenty.

Officials of the Lagos State Fire Service were seen in the viral video making efforts to stop the fire from escalating.
