Every résumé tells a story — shaped by experience, perspective, and possibility.

In a recent campaign with Clara, we shared stories from professionals whose talent and potential weren’t always fully recognized by traditional hiring systems. Their journeys remind us why equitable, bias-resistant hiring matters — because opportunity should be based on ability, not assumptions.

As companies evolve, the language around inclusion is shifting too. What some once called DEIB is now becoming bias-resistant hiring — a reflection of how this work continues to adapt in a changing world.

But the goal hasn’t changed: build fair, forward-thinking workplaces that see people for who they are and value what each individual brings to the table.

When hiring becomes more human, innovation follows.

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
— Abraham Lincoln, 1858

When Abraham Lincoln spoke these words, he was warning that a nation built on contradiction cannot last — that freedom and injustice, unity and division, cannot coexist.

Today, his warning feels closer than ever. While Democrats remain in Washington working to end the government shutdown, many Republicans have yet to return to D.C. — not showing up to negotiate or do the jobs they were elected to do.

The result? A divided House and a stalled government — at the expense of millions of hardworking Americans.

Federal employees are going without paychecks. Families are struggling to afford groceries, rent, and medicine. Public servants who keep our nation running are being asked to serve without pay or benefits.

This is not what government of the people, by the people, and for the people should look like. Democracy demands accountability — and leaders who show up for those they represent.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, Lincoln’s words remind us that unity, compassion, and dialogue are the foundation of freedom. A divided house cannot stand — and a silent one cannot serve.

At Fast Company’s Innovation Festival this week, we dove into a powerful discussion: On the Frontlines: Inside the ACLU’s Fight for Civil Rights, exploring the urgent issues facing civil liberties today.

The conversation featured Yasmin Cader, Chase Strangio, and Ben Wizner from the ACLU, moderated by Amy Farley.

In this clip, Ben Wizner highlights:

“The Trump administration is being innovative in all the ways it is trying to censor.”

“The Trump administration signed an executive order to strengthen the First Amendment of free speech within government, yet they are the most censoring administration in modern history — one can argue more so than during McCarthyism.”

It’s a reminder that knowing our Constitutional rights and the history behind them helps us protect the civil liberties so many have fought to defend.

We’re inspired by movements that change culture — and Lilith Fair did just that.

By amplifying female artists, challenging industry norms, and building community, Sarah McLachlan created a platform that redefined what was possible in music. That legacy continues today, reminding us that empowerment and representation are not trends — they are the foundation of progress.

We’re committed to carrying this spirit forward by supporting emerging voices and creating spaces where artists can thrive.

Watch Sarah reflect on Lilith Fair’s lasting impact:

More than a year after nearly losing her voice, Sarah McLachlan is celebrating a new album and a documentary about the legacy of the groundbreaking music fes...

We had the opportunity to attend Fast Company’s 11th Innovation Festival, and one of the most impactful sessions was On Strong Ground: Brené Brown's Lessons in Leading with Courage.

Featuring Brené Brown Brown, Research Professor and Author, and moderated by Jon Gluck, Senior Editor, Fast Company, the discussion was filled with meaningful takeaways.

Brené noted: “90% of AI investment across organizations demonstrate failure, for not aligning investment in AI appropriately with business strategies.”

She also shared insights from her new book, underscoring the importance of vulnerability, authenticity, and courage in leadership. A timely reminder of how we can lead with clarity and purpose in today’s rapidly changing world.

🇺🇸 Where Do We Go From Here?

Watching CBS Sunday Morning’s “These United States: A History of the Constitution” stirred something deep.

The Declaration of Independence declared our ideals — life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.

The Constitution was meant to protect them — by limiting power, balancing it across three branches, and holding leaders accountable to us.

But today, that balance feels broken. Congress rarely checks power. The Supreme Court interprets but wasn’t meant to decide alone what’s constitutional. And the three branches often fail to hold each other accountable.

So here’s the question:
*If our elected leaders aren’t honoring their oath to the Constitution, how do we hold them accountable?
*If the Constitution no longer guides our government, who is this system truly serving?

We the People have more power than we realize.
The next chapter of America isn’t written yet — we are writing it.

“We the people who live on this planet have the capacity to make the changes necessary to save our future.”

In his powerful TED Talk, Al Gore makes one thing clear: we already have the tools to build a cleaner, safer planet — wind and solar energy are affordable, scalable, and ready now.

But moving forward means breaking away from the fossil fuel industry’s political and economic grip that keeps us stuck in the old, destructive ways.

Gore quotes Abraham Lincoln to remind us that tough times require bold action:

“The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew.”

The future is possible — if we choose it.

In this The New York Times Hard Fork Live event, OpenAI top execs Sam Altman and Brad Lightcap sat down with The New York Times Kevin Roose and The Platformer, Casey Newton to talk AI’s future — and what’s already here.

Here are some real time use cases discussed -

⚖️ NYT’s lawsuit against OpenAI: Are news articles fair game for AI training?
💼 Microsoft's massive influence on OpenAI: Are we witnessing a quiet merger of power?
🧠 ChatGPT use is exploding — not just for work, but for emotional support. People are now building friendships with bots. So what happens when AI replaces real human connection?
🌍 Trump’s AI policies push for fewer rules — even if that means risking environmental harm or bypassing public protections.
💻 And the workplace? It’s being reshaped fast, but the people impacted most have the least say in how it unfolds.

AI is changing everything — from what we trust, to who we talk to, to how democracy operates. If you're not paying attention, now’s the time to start.
