📢 We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Ting Han from National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing, China, will serve as a keynote speaker for the 5th Medicinal Chemistry Symposium ( 2026): New Trends in Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery, which will be held in , China, from May 14 to 17, 2026.

🎤 Prof. Dr. Ting Han is an Associate Investigator at the National Institute of Biological Sciences. His laboratory focuses on two complementary fields—chemical biology and cancer biology—with the convergence point being the development of innovative cancer therapeutic strategies. Their goal is to address two major challenges in biomedical research: (1) the lack of general methods to effectively modulate most disease-causing proteins, and (2) the diminishing availability of new targets to support future therapeutic innovation. Over the past several years, they have made progress in these areas through two approaches: "chemistry-driven" and "biology-driven". These studies have not only deepened the understanding of cancer biology but also provided new targets and chemical starting points for the development of anticancer therapies.

📢 We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Huilei Yu from East China University of Science and Technology, China, will serve as a Scientific Committee Member for the 5th Medicinal Chemistry Symposium ( ): New Trends in Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery, which will be held in , China, from May 14 to 17, 2026.

🎓 Professor Yu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at East China University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on the discovery, design, and applied fundamentals of novel enzymes. Centering on the key scientific issue of "enzyme structure–function relationships and their regulatory mechanisms," she has established enzyme molecular design strategies based on computational modeling and deep learning, achieving "functional reprogramming" through large-scale cooperative mutations in enzyme active centers and "directed evolution" for industrial applicability. She has also proposed substrate-targeted rational enzyme design strategies and developed non-natural enzyme molecular tools such as taxane site-specific oxidation enzymes and asymmetric thioether oxidation enzymes. She has published over 100 SCI-indexed papers in leading journals and holds more than 20 granted Chinese invention patents as well as 3 granted U.S. patents.
